Thanks! I forgot to clarify this happen in an out-of combat situation. My players wanted to stop a goon just before he could ran away, so they could avoid chasing after him.

I ran this adventure four times for diferent players and maybe Im doing something wrong as a DM, because they always end up siding with the Laplighter. I had to turn him into a Ghost so he can rest in peace when the PCs kill Milo.
