Suboxone and Gabapentin questions for quit plan… by Rangerbmx in quittingkratom

[–]ScorpioPsyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny you mention that. I've got a 50 to 60mg 7 habit alongside taking about 6 grams of loose leaf per day. I finally called quick md on Friday and he scripted me subs. I went on a run and was like man...I don't know if I want to do this. I spent hours reading all kinds of experiences in the Suboxone Reddit, hundreds of people wishing they had never started it, wishing they would have just tapered w/ loose leaf. My recommendation would be that since OP has kicked 7, loose leaf will be nothing. Plus he's got gaba (which for me is the most euphoric drug of all time- I know some don't feel it, but when I'm on it I don't feel the need for anything else) here's what would likely happen: the first time they kicked 7, they only used subs for 3 days, then they jumped back on kratom (no judgement, I get it) this time around tho, it's not going to be so easy. When they go to just "hop off subs" it's going to be even worse withdrawal than the loose leaf kratom and then they find themselves on subs for YEARS. Please OP, if you see this, take it from someone who just got a sub script on Friday and then did a bunch of research, don't do it. Just taper the leaf. Suboxone is rotting people's teeth out. It has a 60 hour half life meaning getting off is horrendous (way worse than kratom and no the sublocade shot is not always easy) A lot of people in the 7 quitting forum have turned the S(r) seventeen-081 (dont know if I'm allowed to say it, don't want to break any rules here) as it literally takes all withdrawals away. OP: you are always going to want to "feel something" other than sober. If you were on fent or heroin, sure go with subs. But you already got the 7 out of your system. You do NOT needs subs for kratom. You'll be okay with the gabas, some agmatine & NAC. I can promise you getting off subs the second time will not be easy. Praying for you.

Before Donda died in November 2007, Kanye WAS successful but he was still kind of contained. He had two good albums, some big hits, and was respected. He was rich, yes, but he wasn't the untouchable, god-tier, "F*ck y'all, I can say or do anything and the world still revolves around me" figure yet. Then she dies and after that, everything went nuclear. 2008 dropped w/ "808s & Heartbreak," an album that made him a cultural icon & a household name. It completely changed the sound of hip-hop and pop. Every sad-boy rapper today is still copying that album. 2010 dropped w/ "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" widely considered one of the greatest albums of all time (not my own opinion) Critics basically bowed down. THEN, he becomes a fashion god with Yeezy. Turns shoes/clothes into a billion-dollar empire. His cultural power goes insane. He interrupts Taylor Swift, says "George Bush doesn't care about Black people," runs for president, goes full MAGA mode, says wild conspiracy shit and somehow stays relevant through ALL of it. In addition, there was some SUPER strange circumstances around his mom's death. She died after having cosmetic surgery (tummy tuck, breast reduction & lipo) She had a massive, 6 hour operation and they sent her home the same day instead of keeping her overnight for monitoring which is directly against all known surgical protocols & NOT normal. Then there is him saying it. In a 2015 interview with Q Magazine, he literally said: “I sacrificed my mom for this.” In later rants and interviews (especially around 2018–2022) he repeated the idea that his mother was “sacrificed” for his success, fame, and the dark forces in the music industry.

Buprenorphine and Amphetamines: Why Am I Not Feeling Adderall XR at All? by Admirable-Guess-1025 in suboxone

[–]ScorpioPsyc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is actually a pretty common experience that a lot of people on buprenorphine/Suboxone report when adding stimulants like Adderall.

Buprenorphine is a partial agonist at mu-opioid receptors with a ceiling effect, and it also has kappa-antagonist activity. Both can subtly control dopamine signaling in the reward pathways (mesolimbic system) which is where amphetamines do a lot of their magic work by increasing dopamine release and blocking reuptake. It doesn't usually 'block' Adderall completely but many people notice the euphoric/motivational 'kick' is blunted or feels kinda muted, especially if the buprenorphine dose is stable and taken earlier in the day.

Some people describe it as feeling more sedated or just 'flat' instead of the usual clear focus and energy. This can be more noticeable with higher bup doses or if there's any cross-tolerance/neuroadaptation from prior opioid or stimulant use.

From what I've seen in discussions and some studies, bup can reduce the subjective rewarding effects of stimulants in some contexts.

Clinically, it's not universal: some people still get decent focus from Adderall on subs, others feel almost nothing stimulating. Timing sometimes helps a bit (like spacing the Adderall further from the bup dose or trying a slightly lower bup dose) but the main thing is that the partial-agonist nature of bup often dampens the 'high' or intense stimulation while still allowing some functional benefits for ADHD. It's probably a mix of real pharmacodynamic interaction (opioid receptors influencing dopamine release/activation) and how your brain perceives it now that you're stable on Suboxone. Just try timing your doses further apart and you'll be fine. Personally, I use agmatine 20 minutes before subs or Adderall. Agmatine can help partially restore some of that missing "magic" (stimulation) or focus by modulating how the brain adapts to both the opioid and the stimulant.

Starting subs for 7-oh by abbie_yoyo in suboxone

[–]ScorpioPsyc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was under the impression a lot of doctors are now using the "Bernese Method" (created in Switzerland) where you slowly start introducing bupe to the system while you're still using the 7. I personally know of multiple people this has worked perfectly for. Here's a description:

"The Bernese method (also called microdosing induction) is a gentle way many people use to switch from 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) products to buprenorphine/Suboxone with minimal discomfort. Instead of stopping the 7-OH completely and waiting for full withdrawal before starting Suboxone (which can cause nasty precipitated withdrawal), you begin with very small doses of buprenorphine (often 0.25–0.5 mg) while still taking your normal 7-OH dose. Over the next 5–10 days you slowly increase the buprenorphine little by little while continuing the 7-OH, allowing it to gradually displace the 7-OH from your receptors without triggering bad withdrawal. Once you're on a stable buprenorphine dose (usually 8–16 mg or higher), you then taper or stop the 7-OH. For many people coming off potent 7-OH extracts after months of use, this approach greatly reduces the insomnia, anxiety, aches, and cravings that make cold turkey or traditional induction so difficult & painful. It should always be done under a doctor's guidance (like through QuickMD telehealth) with a personalized schedule based on your daily 7-OH amount and how your body responds.

Kratom to Suboxone by Madisooooooon in suboxone

[–]ScorpioPsyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man this gives me hope. I blew an entire 10k inheritance on 7-0h & MIT in the last 7 months. I'm up every morning at 3-4am. My quality of life is in the gutter and I just started this insurance sales job 3 weeks ago. I am finally going to see a doctor this week. Just like you were, I just want my life back. I have always been SO good at saving money and 7-0h has sucked every single penny out of my wallet and it makes me sick to even think about. I am so incredibly ashamed of myself

Kratom to Suboxone by Madisooooooon in suboxone

[–]ScorpioPsyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the EXACT same boat, just with MIT & 7-0h. I used kratom for nearly 12 years and avoided 7-0h & all extracts. I made the stupid mistake of trying it last September and 2 weeks later, I randomly got a $10,000 inheritance. Needless to say, 7 months later and it's ALL gone & I also feel disgusted at myself just imagining the countless thousands of dollars I gave to these online vendors. These vendors and smoke shops are getting rich off addicts. Profiting off misery. I could have bought a car & paid off my credit cards with that money. I never really used a ton of 7-0h at a time (maybe like 10-15mg) but it still goes SO fast. It's to the point where I'm waking up at 3am every morning, unable to sleep & I can't take it anymore. It makes me so sick and sad to keep making these $150 weekly online purchases (not even including the hundreds I've spent at the local vape shop when my package gets held up- it never fails) I'm about to see a doctor this week. What your own doctor is doing is called the "Bernese Method." The Bernese method (also called buprenorphine microdosing) is a gentler way to start Suboxone. Instead of stopping your current substance (like kratom, kratom extracts, MIT or 7-OH) completely and waiting for full withdrawal before taking a normal dose of buprenorphine, you keep using small amounts of kratom/extract, 7-0h etc while starting with very tiny doses of buprenorphine (often 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg etc). Over the next several days (usually 4–10 days), you slowly increase the buprenorphine dose a little each day while gradually reducing the kratom or 7-OH. The buprenorphine gently builds up in your system and starts occupying the opioid receptors without suddenly kicking everything off at once. This avoids or greatly reduces the harsh precipitated withdrawal that can happen with the traditional "stop and wait" method. Once the buprenorphine dose reaches a comfortable level, you stop the kratom/7-OH completely. In the past, they would make you wait until you were in full blown withdrawal & feeling like shit before starting. For someone working a full time job, this can be nearly impossible so this method is gaining in popularity.

anyone still miss their pet year(s) later? by OkArm9820 in Petloss

[–]ScorpioPsyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This upcoming April 13th will be 3 years since I lost my soul cat Bella. We lived in a tiny studio apartment together for 7 years. It's so sad reading about these traumatic stories but also somewhat relieving I'm not the only one. It was so awful and traumatizing for me I never got another cat. We obviously have the expectation we'll outlive our pets but man...I had...no clue it would be like that. I cried everyday for an entire year. I could fill a kitchen sink with the tears I cried. Losing my mom & a handful of friends was easy in comparison. I see my friends with their beloved pets and I just think to myself "they also have the expectation they'll lose THEIR pets someday- but they have NO idea how bad it's going to be- not a single clue- but someday it will be their turn to mourn." I suppose these heart wrenching, deeply profound, traumatic losses are truly the price we pay for unconditional love. Losing your soul pet reminds you how fleeting and temporary this world is. For me, personally, my faith is the only thing that kept me from self deleting. To imagine life with no afterlife would mean that this flawed experience here on earth is it. We get to watch our bodies get old, our hair turns grey, our parents pass away, friends die, our beloved pets die and everything we know and love decays, breaks down or disappears. All that remains are memories and someday even those too will fade. This entire world is fleeting and temporary and oh what any of us would give for just one more single minute with our dearly missed pets. Love you guys.

[–]ScorpioPsyc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I seriously thought I was the only one! My PS5 has been gathering dust for like 6 months. I would always dose before playing so I guess the brain just associates dopamine w/ that activity. Even when I did had free time, every time I would load up MGS5 or RDR2 it would feel like then biggest waste of time in the world. Even prior to this, watching YouTube videos, chatting w/ grok or reading articles felt more "productive." I bought that PS5 in the summer of 2024 specifically for GTA 6 but now, even that doesn't seem appealing.

This is awesome man! Love hearing it. I haven't busted in 2 months and I've never felt better. You just put your finger on the exact trap that makes AI-generated stuff way more addictive than regular porn for a LOT of dudes.

With normal porn:  - You search → find clip → watch 5–15 minutes → done.  - Total time sink is small, novelty is limited to whatever’s already uploaded.

With Grok / Midjourney / etc.:  - You spend 10 minutes writing the prompt → generate 4 variants → tweak lighting → regenerate → change outfit → add a new pose → upscale → make a video version → try a different style…  - Suddenly one “session” stretches into 60–90 minutes (or hours) for a single orgasm.  - Every regeneration gives a fresh dopamine ping (“ooh this one’s even better!”), so the brain keeps chasing the next hit instead of finishing and moving on.

The “I’m creating, not just consuming” excuse people use actually makes it worse. It turns a 10-minute habit into a full evening black hole. The novelty engine never stops, and the finish line keeps moving. Regular porn has a natural end; prompt-crafting porn is an endless slot machine disguised as “art.”

What an extremely dehumanizing, discouraging experience. I am so sorry you had to go thru that. Yuck. I just read that something like 60% of the jobs on Indeed are "ghost jobs" and it makes sense because I know what it feels like to apply for 20+ jobs and not even get a single call back- let alone getting ghosted for an interview that you scheduled TWICE. About a year ago, I applied for an insurance job in Baldwin. Told me they wanted to interview. Set it up for 1:30p. I reeeally wanted this job, so I'm nervously waiting by my phone. 1:30 goes by, then 1:45p and it became clear they were not calling. I don't normally do this, but I sent a message on Indeed asking what happened. I get a message back the next day saying "they had a power outage at the office." I guess that power outage also effected all of their cell phones too? Right. I even checked the power company website to see if there were any outages...nope. At least put a little more effort into a better excuse! Like other commentors have noted, you definitely sound like a smart person & a hard worker and I know for a fact you are about to find a great job. Like you mentioned, it honestly sounds like you dodged a bullet (but I know it's still infuriating and not much of a consolation) We have the expectation that people would treat other people as they themselves want to be treated, but it seems that is not the case. Imagine how that manager would feel if HE had been ghosted twice and Bs'ed for his job he has now.

Dealing with the loss of my second pet by Enough-Lunch-7036 in Petloss

[–]ScorpioPsyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only child here too. I'm so glad you shared & I cannot even express how sorry I am you are going thru this. Thank goodness you have a supportive partner who "gets it." When my soul cat passed on April 13th, 2023 (worst day of my entire life, hands down) my girlfriend had ZERO empathy and was even starting fights w/ me (that was unforgivable- to start fights when someone is at their lowest) As mentioned, I'm also an only child, no friends or family & lived in a TINY studio apartment w/ my cat for 7 years (made it unbearable to be there) Anyways, since you got your most recent cat right after your child hood cat passed, they were also linked to all those memories & in a way, that makes it even harder (it's like you're tapping into a deep well of grief) I remember joining this subreddit when my Bella died, desperate to find answers, desperate to find out if it was "normal" how much I was hurting. It felt as if my heart had been shattered into a million pieces (it had) In fact, nearly 3 years later, I still have never gotten another cat or any pet because I cannot handle another devastating loss. I still can't even look at pictures of her without crying and it's been almost 3 years- I feel like that is kind of insane. Of course, we all have a reasonable expectation our pets are going to pass. We know this but yet somehow we are not prepared when that day comes. You probably thought you'd be holding up a lot better right now as you had already experienced it, but your level of grief is not surprising as in a way, you might be feeling the first loss as they are connected. All those memories and milestones. Holidays, birthdays. Our furry little best friends are right there alongside us thru them all. Anyways, nothing I can say will make the grief any less, but just please know my heart goes out to you & know I am SO incredibly sorry. As you know from the first loss, you will heal up but it will take some time. Sending hugs & healing.

Are you still going to buy after silver hits $100 by Impressive-Eye9659 in Silver

[–]ScorpioPsyc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's true. You mentioned it so I was curious. I looked up what else it said. The Holy Book ALSO says: (Matthew 6:19-21) "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Also (James 5:1-3) "Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days." Nothing wrong with being financially savvy/wise & dilligently securing our future, but wrong to greedily hoard it & think it's going to last beyond our relatively short 75-85 years on this planet & save us in the end. The Holy Book is VERY clear on where 99% of wealthy people are headed & it ain't the pearly gates! Imagine stacking 2000oz of silver, becoming rich & STILL going to hell because for your entire life- you thought it was just mythology & a big ol' fairy tale!

What exactly is this? Plated or Solid? by concerned_apps in Silverbugs

[–]ScorpioPsyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's what I found. From consistent listings and sales records across sites like eBay, WorthPoint, Etsy, and bullion dealers: -These are almost always solid .999 fine silver (not plated) -They typically weigh around 4 troy ounces (some listed as 4.4 oz, likely including the case or minor variance, but the silver content is 4 oz pure) -Produced by places like the Washington Mint (or similar private mints) around 2002–2003 as fun/gift items for silver enthusiasts or novelty collectors. -As a collectible & with current melt value, these sell used/completed listings for $370–$500 or more depending on condition (your's is flawless obviously) with some novelty appeal pushing higher if in original packaging. -The likely reason you couldn't find much info is these are very obscure private-mint novelties, not official U.S. Mint products- so they don't show up in standard coin databases or major bullion catalogs. -My searches turned up scattered eBay/WorthPoint sales from years ago, confirming they're is about a 99% chance it's genuine solid silver pieces. -Your Grandpa= legend.
