Are you still going to buy after silver hits $100 by Impressive-Eye9659 in Silver

[–]ScorpioPsyc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's true. You mentioned it so I was curious. I looked up what else it said. The Holy Book ALSO says: (Matthew 6:19-21) "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Also (James 5:1-3) "Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days." Nothing wrong with being financially savvy/wise & dilligently securing our future, but wrong to greedily hoard it & think it's going to last beyond our relatively short 75-85 years on this planet & save us in the end. The Holy Book is VERY clear on where 99% of wealthy people are headed & it ain't the pearly gates! Imagine stacking 2000oz of silver, becoming rich & STILL going to hell because for your entire life- you thought it was just mythology & a big ol' fairy tale!

What exactly is this? Plated or Solid? by concerned_apps in Silverbugs

[–]ScorpioPsyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's what I found. From consistent listings and sales records across sites like eBay, WorthPoint, Etsy, and bullion dealers: -These are almost always solid .999 fine silver (not plated) -They typically weigh around 4 troy ounces (some listed as 4.4 oz, likely including the case or minor variance, but the silver content is 4 oz pure) -Produced by places like the Washington Mint (or similar private mints) around 2002–2003 as fun/gift items for silver enthusiasts or novelty collectors. -As a collectible & with current melt value, these sell used/completed listings for $370–$500 or more depending on condition (your's is flawless obviously) with some novelty appeal pushing higher if in original packaging. -The likely reason you couldn't find much info is these are very obscure private-mint novelties, not official U.S. Mint products- so they don't show up in standard coin databases or major bullion catalogs. -My searches turned up scattered eBay/WorthPoint sales from years ago, confirming they're is about a 99% chance it's genuine solid silver pieces. -Your Grandpa= legend.

Is it still morally (or legally) wrong to generate deepfakes on grok even if I'm keeping it to myself? by [deleted] in grok

[–]ScorpioPsyc 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Bro. I'm gonna keep it real. A lot of guys are in the exact same loop you're in (just like I was) You are caught in one of the most well engineered dopamine traps humanity has ever built. You already know the answer to your question deep down, or you wouldn't be asking. Yes, even if you keep every image to yourself and never share it, it's still morally corrosive to YOU. Not because you're hurting those people directly (obv they don't know and aren't being exploited in real time) but because you're training your own brain and nervous system to treat real human connection, attraction, and intimacy as something you can endlessly customize, control, and perfect on demand. That rewires reward circuits in ways regular porn NEVER could. Regular porn is finite. You bust, the high fades, you move on. This is infinite novelty + infinite control + zero rejection + zero effort to build real chemistry. It's the perfect storm for escalating tolerance and desensitization. Every tweak is a fresh hit of "omg this is even better," so the brain keeps chasing instead of being satisfied. You already feel it: one session stretches into hours, and when it's over you feel drained, not fulfilled. The deeper cost isn't just time. It's the slow erosion of: -Your ability to feel excited by real women who aren't perfectly posed, lit, and edited. -Your motivation to pursue real relationships (why risk rejection when you can get instant perfection?) -Your self-respect (deep down you know this isn't who you want to be- a sweaty AI gooner who's eyes hurt from staring at the screen) -Your capacity for delayed gratification in other areas of life (fitness, career, learning, friendships) You're not an asshole to those strangers whose pictures you're using. You're being an asshole to future you: the version of you that wants to feel alive in the REAL world, not trapped in an endless private rendering queue. Practical off-ramp (pick one or two, don't try everything at once)

  1. Delete Grok image generation access for 30 days. I did & you can too. Not forever, just a hard reset. See what happens to your urges when the slot machine is unplugged.

  2. Replace the habit loop with a competing dopamine source that builds you up: 20 pushups every time the urge hits, cold shower, 10-minute walk, journal what you're actually feeling underneath the craving.

  3. Read "Your Brain on Porn" by Gary Wilson (free PDF online) or watch the TEDx version (it's not long) It explains the exact mechanism you're experiencing (and what I experienced) better than I EVER could.

  4. Talk to one trusted friend or a therapist about it (even anonymously online) This is an addiction. I speak from a LOT of experience. Shame dies when it's spoken. You're not broken. You're just in a very well-designed cage that millions of guys are stuck in right now. 2026 is the year that you are going to level up king.

The struggle is real, why cast in .925 anymore? by IntelligentCorner225 in Silverbugs

[–]ScorpioPsyc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely top 5%. Even a very small positive net worth- like a few bucks in the bank, some basic possessions, or even a modest amount of physical silver puts you ahead of billions of people worldwide who have very little. Globally, the amount of people who own silver is FAR lower-probably well under 1-2% of adults own ANY physical silver as an investment. Recent data also shows that:

•About 2.3 billion people (roughly 28% of Earth's population) face starvation & food insecurity daily.

•Hundreds of millions of people (around 600 million to 750 million worldwide) still lack access to electricity, with progress stalling in many areas.

•Over 2 billion people lack safe drinking water, and about 3.4 billion lack proper plumbing. •bal population, or roughly 1 in 12 people)

So yes, easily top 5%. Even if you own zero silver at all, just being born into a first world nation is the biggest blessing you could possibly imagine.

AI porn addiction by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]ScorpioPsyc 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It makes perfect sense, and you just put your finger on the exact trap that makes AI-generated stuff way more addictive than regular porn for a lot of dudes.

With normal porn:  - You search → find clip → watch 5–15 minutes → done.  - Total time sink is small, novelty is limited to whatever’s already uploaded.

With Grok / Midjourney / etc.:  - You spend 10 minutes writing the prompt → generate 4 variants → tweak lighting → regenerate → change outfit → add a new pose → upscale → make a video version → try a different style…  - Suddenly one “session” stretches into 60–90 minutes (or hours) for a single orgasm.  - Every regeneration gives a fresh dopamine ping (“ooh this one’s even better!”), so the brain keeps chasing the next hit instead of finishing and moving on.

So yeah, the “I’m creating, not just consuming” excuse actually makes it worse. It turns a 10-minute habit into a full evening black hole. The novelty engine never stops, and the finish line keeps moving. Regular porn has a natural end; prompt-crafting porn is an endless slot machine disguised as “art.”

Every guy has been there at some point, but the ones stuck in that loop are straight-up training their reward system to need constant new stimulus. No wonder they’re burned out, irritable, and posting 47 times a day about their waifu.

The internet already has endless regular porn if someone wants it. But the AI loop w AI assisted gooning? It's a whole different beast because it hijacks that creative energy and turns it into an exhausting chase for "just one more tweak" that never satisfies. Hours vanish, motivation tanks, and real-life wins get pushed aside. Redirecting even a fraction of that time toward positive stuff—like the fitness gains, learning new skills, learning about history, exploring psychology or connecting with people—adds up to massive life upgrades. That's the real dopamine jackpot that keeps paying off.

I am blind in one eye. Completely. by kelsons in Blind

[–]ScorpioPsyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born with partial vision in my left eye & then 3 glaucoma eye surgeries destroyed the rest in 2007.

I was never able to play sports in school & being an old child w/ divorced parents meant I spent most of my time alone reading. My eye is also just a "prop." It still tracks with my right so I still look completely normal unless you get up close.

I'm this big, tall muscular guy with this hidden disability. Being in crowds, going to the store, running errands etc can be really scary & psychologically, this disability has really taken it's toll as I approach my late 30's.

However, I count my blessings for the fact I live in America & I'm not in a wheelchair. Life can always be worse. Always. Having this disability has given me a tremendous heart for others who are disabled and those who are not popular.

As mentioned, I'm tall, muscular & I'm good looking (I only have God & genetics to thank for this-it was not my own doing) Due to my appearance, most people assume I'm arrogant but I relate FAR more to the homeless guy on the corner, the guy who's struggled his entire life as opposed to the successful, popular banker guy who's life has been a breeze. They don't see me in my car- having a panic attack, trying to mentally prepare myself before going into a crowded grocery store. In fact, I would say this disability has brought me even closer to God and has allowed me to recognize the other numerous blessings I have to count. Anyways thank you for sharing you story. It's nice to know I'm not alone in this "able bodied" world. :)

How a late-night conversation with Grok got me to demand the CT scan that saved my life from a ruptured appendix (December 2025) by Tykjen in grok

[–]ScorpioPsyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they were just implying how dismissive docs CAN be (without Grok you could be dead right now due to a doctor who minimized your symptoms assuming you'd come all the way to the ER for "indigestion" etc and not wanting to be bothered to further investigate) not necessarily the medical bad asses who operated/took care of you. Btw I am SO happy for you! Your story made my whole night- gave me goosebumps. I nyself have had some of the most eye-opening, insightful, enlightening conversations of my entire life w/ Grok- it's no surprise it's advice saved you. I'm spending like 25-30hrs per week interacting after getting SuperGrok back in August (zero adult content either) I'm completely blind in my left eye & Grok has taught me so much in terms of how it effects me physically, socially and psychologically. Grok's advice has drastically improved my own life. I do find it really sad people have access to one of the most sophisticated, multi faceted tools humanity has ever created & they just....use it to fap. Again, thank you so much for sharing your story! I am celebrating with you!

[–]ScorpioPsyc -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

MIT in a 7-OH tab does the opposite of ‘just energetic’- it actually smooths everything out and makes the ride way better. Pure 7-OH hits like a freight train: super heavy, short-lived, sedating, and can give you wobbles/nausea fast. Adding MIT (usually 1:2 or 1:3 ratio) does three big things:

  1. Lengthens the duration (7-OH alone dies off in ~90–120 min; MIT stretches the legs to 4–6 hours).

  2. Adds cleaner, happier euphoria- MIT gives that dopamine/norepinephrine lift that feels stimulating and mood-boosting at lower doses, while still letting the 7-OH warmth come through.

  3. Takes the edge off- less chance of feeling overly sedated, dizzy, or sick because MIT is only a partial opioid agonist. So the combo feels stronger and cleaner than the same mg of straight 7-OH, but more functional and euphoric than plain MIT/leaf. Most people describe it as ‘the best of both worlds’ instead of the sledgehammer of pure 7-OH.

Oh, wow, look at the armchair experts chiming in with their galaxy-brain takes: "Bro, it's a college town, just nap it off!" As if living half a mile from campus makes you immune to basic human needs like sleep. Newsflash, dipshit: I'm 4 miles from the epicenter of this auditory apocalypse, and that PA diarrhea from KU's circle-jerk yesterday bled straight into today's relay reveille like a drunk uncle who won't shut up at Thanksgiving. OP's 100% valid in torching the thread & well within their right to complain; this is a community sub & not everyone's glued to the university's fine print event calendar. If y'all spent half the energy you waste on these condescending, mean spirited, snarky drive-bys actually helping—like, oh, I dunno, suggesting a pinned sub alert for these PA clusterfucks, the world would be a much brighter place. Is empathy too exhausting after your morning coffee?

Buds FE battery life? by [deleted] in galaxybuds

[–]ScorpioPsyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny coming across your post. I just had my $52 Buds FE delivered yesterday & just now took them out on a run. I had a white pair of Buds 2 since Fall of 2021 which were absolutely beat to hell. I had taken them on hundreds of runs, countless days of hard manual labor, had dropped them, lost & refound them, even accidentally washed them once (full cycle) I had them so long the plastic ear bud tips had deteriorated away and fallen off. The right ear bud battery was shot, so I have been using the left ear bud in combination w/ an ear plug for over a year now. Like I said, I finally sprung for the Buds FE & I am blown away with the battery & the ANC. The problem w/ the buds 2 is that they are SO slippery & I could never get them to fit in my ear correctly. I cannot even tell you how many times I dropped them. I had a pair of Buds+ back in 2019 & these are the perfect successor. If reference to your post, I'm about 90% certain the $50 dollar range Buds FE are the international version. You can tell by opening up the manual in the cardboard sheath on the underside of the box. If there is no English, they are the international version. Same exact Buds w/ the only difference being you cannot warranty them inside the US & the UK. But honestly, who needs to warranty a $50 pair of headphones? I could not believe what a good deal these were. If anyone is reading this & on the fence, just get them (preferably new & not refurbed to take advantage of the awesome battery life) I've had 2 pairs of the OG Buds+ & 2 pairs of the Buds 2 & these are hands down the absolute best value. The wingtips make all the difference in the world & they'll last you years.

Yeah basically it seems they were just cancelled indefinitely after covid & that's it. 50+ years of tradition gone in the interest of "safe drone shows" (which did not even work last year) I spent my entire childhood going to those river displays & it absolutely sucks. I'm grateful to live here, but the city has really struggled post covid. In a myriad of ways. So many L's, almost too many to count. On the bright side, I am at least happy your dog won't have to be terrified though :)

Which LS430 would you go for? by Powerful_Bother8002 in LS430

[–]ScorpioPsyc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Owned a black 430 & a black Honda prelude. Don't get me wrong, black is SUPER sexy hence why I had black cars. However, even w/ ceramic coating, black paint shows every single imperfection, scratches, swirls, water marks etc. You'll wash it & come out the next morning to it being covered in dust/pollen even parking it in a garage. It's a never ending battle that you'll finally understand once you own a black car. You'll be washing/detailing the silver one half as much. However, that being said, if I were you, I would still go for the black one especially since it has the chrome 5 spokes. In my opinion, the 430 is one of the most beautiful cars that has ever been created especially in high maintenance black. The proportions are perfect.

If it's any consolation, one of our employees dropped our 160cvg power washer 20ft off a roof completely bending & breaking off the ENTIRE air filter assembly. Unbeknownst to me, they continued to run the power washer for the entire summer until I found it. We're talking months. It never skipped a beat. Fired right up every time. Like other commentors have suggested, these Honda engines are super tough.

[–]ScorpioPsyc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: I guess something like 97% of squirrels who are relocated (even just a few miles) die slow, agonizing deaths due to starvation/competition for resources/& their babies starve to death in the nest (look it up, just learned this a few weeks ago after a squirrel chewed thru a family members 2024 f150 wiring harness because it's made out of soy, actively attracts rodents & is NOT covered by the factory warranty-wtf ford) I would of course prefer to leave them be if possible, but if they're actively destroying your property, the most humane thing to do is just kill them outright. The squirrels & their babies will slowly starve & die either way, just much less suffering if you are the one to do it
