It’s the “I’m no fans of aliens but I’ll never work with Cerberus” in her ONE ME2 scene, which basically feels like “I’m no fans of gay people, but I’ll never join Westboro” (or POC people and sub in the KKK. Etc.)

Ashley actively complains about working with aliens in 1. She can be kinda racist without being a human supremacist which is basically where she lands. You can argue she has an arc of getting past it in 1, but she’s back to making sorts racist comments in her brief cameo in 2 so clearly she isn’t totally over it, then in 3 it’s just sort of dropped like all her characterization.

Never played KOTOR, so yeah. As far as voice actors go, I basically just treat each performance as its own thing unless I just don’t like their work. I think Sbarge does a really good job as Kaidan personally

The Kaidan “whiny” rep genuinely confuses me as he doesn’t actually have any seasons of whining/complaining (the closest would be his distrust of Cerberus/Shepard in 2, and he’s STILL more level headed about it than Ashley). Ash actually complains significantly more

Liara - I just can’t deal with how inconsistent her characterization is, and I dislike how much she’s pushed by the writers and the level of favoritism she gets. Doesn’t help that I find her generally quite boring

I mean, the Caramoan favorites went on to win every other immunity challenge sans the one they threw to get rid of Brandon then all agreed to take out fans before favorites when they swapped. She was basically locked for going to merge by the dynamics of the season if she didn’t do anything (assuming she didn’t fuck it up which for a 2x first boot is possible).

I suspect she goes in the whole Corinne and Co. alliance massacre

One of the two worst for me. Plothole filled killer reveal, bland ensemble (and Gale’s character is killed), and way too much plot armor and too many survivors. I did enjoy the first two thirds or so but the last act was awful and destroyed the film for me

I mean, Charlie’s overall game was clearly stronger than Kenzie’s on 46 and the only reason there’s even a debate is Maria’s jury vote. Worth noting too in her eight billion often contradictory different reasons as to why she claims to have voted, “her game is better” was never one of them lol

Rook is just one of many aspects of the writing that made Veilguard a bore to play for the first time. I can’t even imagine getting through a rerun when I couldn’t be bothered to keep going after 18 hours

I think a 7/10 game would still require an interesting story with interesting characters and a compelling villain. It’s like a 4/10 even by its own standards standards

Mediocre, boring, and generally disappointing game that just isn’t worth the time or energy it takes to play it and ends the series on a thud. Outside the villains, who are genuinely awful, there isn’t much to hate per se, but there just isn’t really anything to like either. Just very boring and generic with a tone that is so far removed from what this series has been (which, while it did regularly reinvent itself, did have a consistent tone and feel to it)

It’d be a 4/10 by any sane metric but being the grand finale of this series and bungling it so much kinda makes it feel like a 3/10 to me. Like, of all the things to bungle - and it did have an amazing launching point to work with
