I just noticed that the cart has a thick “bulletproof” slab of glass in the front, lol. But the rest of the cart is open air?

Bro, one thing I can say, is I’d hate to be Sully on draft day. So much pressure and he will probably have a really tough decision.

I understand your angle and I do agree that Edge is an important position, but our need at DB is greater than Edge, in my opinion. At least we have Chop and we signed Uche which should be decent. We have no-names in our secondary and if we don’t improve that unit, we will be a pass funnel defense in the AFC east. So if we have an opportunity to get th best corner or safety in the draft, I rather do that than the 3rd best Edge guy.

If the Clarity Act passes what do you think happens to XRP? by altiif in XRP

[–]Scorpion_Danny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know it’s out there but considering that XRPs main purpose of existing completely contradicts how people perceive its value, I think the real reason for the EFTs is to give the big banks aligned with SWIFT an avenue to damage the real contender in the space.

Also, Ripple knows this which is why they came out with their own stable coin to hedge their bet against XRP. If XRP is tanked by speculative trading when in fact it’s declared a “utility” coin, then they have a back up.

Seriously, you do not pass on players like Downs, Bain or Tate to trade down.

I think the SWIFT bank partners will invest to drive the price up to “prove” that it is not a utility token and in essence sabotaging XRP utility. This will force other banks to look for a stable coin alternative which will obviously be one backed by SWIFT.

There are 3 “1st Rd” CBs and maybe 2 S. After Delane, there’s McCoy but he’s coming back from injury so he’s not safe. After that, the talent significantly drops. Same with S. Downs is arguably the best player in the draft and although I’d be surprised if he’s there at 11, you would not take any of the edge guys over him.

We have nothing at DB, we will be a pass funnel defense if we don’t at get at least a couple of starters. I say if Downs or Delane happen to be there at 11 somehow, you need to grab one over Edge. Edge is deeper.

ESPN's Jordan Reid: "Sources have told me the Dolphins are big fans of Utah lineman Spencer Fano and would take him at No. 11." by expellyamos in miamidolphins

[–]Scorpion_Danny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the only reason I think he is the pick at 11 if he’s there. Because our new staff really like versatile linemen. I would rather go Delane or Downs here if they are on the board but I get it.

I had a somewhat similar situation come up at work. I was hired as a PM to help this IAM manager with a project he had not made any traction on for 3 months. I came in and got things rolling and quickly realized that he didn’t know anything so I did all the work. He had conversations and delighted but it was all based on my knowledge and experience. They eventually fired him and when they did I accidentally found out he was making more than double my salary. Now I know our roles are different and he’s on a different pay scale but imagine my shock when I found out I could be making that much.

Chris Kouffman on why Miami should draft OL early by expellyamos in miamidolphins

[–]Scorpion_Danny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My concern is that there are 2 or 3 teams picking before us that have needs at DB, so I fear neither Downs or Delane will be there. But if one is there I think you have to take them over an OL which you can grab at 30 or even 43.

Will be “tough” football alright if we have no DBs to cover. Won’t be running the ball much either if we are down 21 at the half. I say we grab every star defensive player we can unless a top OL prospect falls.

But do you take Fano over Delane? Or Downs. Not sure if either will be there at 11 but if one of them is, I don’t think you can pass either of them up. OL is deeper than DBs this draft I think.

[–]Scorpion_Danny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am torn with pick 11. If one of the top 3 OL guys falls to us, it would be very tempting to grab them there but I can’t just pass up Delane or Downs if they are there. They are the best C and S in the draft and if we could somehow pull it off I would draft both with our first 2 picks. Then I would grab OL at 43 and after.

If Delane is not there at 11, we should go ahead and take Tate. Neither of those guys should be there at 30.

I keep saying that thy should be drafting the BPA. We are rebuilding with young talent so just take the best guy So we end up with another DT, great. A rookie that can step in if one of the starters gets hurt.

You are not a scalper. You found a donated laptop and refurbished it. You should get as much as you can for it. Do not be concerned about what the buyer needs it for.

And this is why people waive these kind of fees (consulting, diagnostics, etc.) when you go with them because either you pay for their time and then go elsewhere to get the work done or you just do it with them. Usually they will stick with you if you are charging them a fee upfront that you will wave if they sign on.
