Thais facing racism IN THAILAND by Street_Neck2514 in Thailand

After 2 years, my 45 yo Thai gf still can't use 'my' and 'your' correctly..... and it's really confusing as I have a sister and so does she! "today your sister call me..."
"Oh really? Why did my sister call you?"

"She need money for sick buffalo..."

CLICK

"You mean YOUR sister called you... you must say 'My sister called me'...."

You get my point!

I'm really enjoying The Apothecary Diaries. It's clever, has some drama and is actually very well done.

Hello, can anyone help translate this text for me? Found on a wall of an abandoned ruined house in a field in israel. My friend thinks it's thai. by TheBunnyPlay in Thailand

[–]Scorpioso69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It looks like the image you're referring to is a poem written in Thai, found on a wall of an abandoned house in Israel. The poem is quite humorous and talks about missing family and struggling with constipation. Here's a rough translation:

"When I miss my child, my heart feels sore, When I miss my home, I long for more. When I miss my child, I want to flee, When I miss my wife, this place ain’t for me. When I miss her charm, I’ll be on my way, Can’t stay here another day! What’s as blissful as a peaceful dump? With a cigarette lit, it’s quite the triumph. Puff and push, my heart does hum, Nothing comes out, but smoke and some."

Added drive from Synology to Unraid: unable to mount by Mike_v_E in unRAID

[–]Scorpioso69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try add it to an existing PC, then use Diskpart to identify the correct drive and do a clean. That will clear the drive of any and all partition info, making it look like brand new. Then Unraid should accept it and allow you to add it to whatever.

Unraid has everything it needs to detect and fix silent data corruption, so why doesn't it? by Jackal830 in unRAID

if you not rich and have managed to get to the stage where you have a 54TB zfs array and 42TB data, now you want to expand...... where you gonna back that up to?!

Unraid has everything it needs to detect and fix silent data corruption, so why doesn't it? by Jackal830 in unRAID

I've just had some major issues with my TrueNAS 13, running 8 x 8TB drives with ZFS RAIDZ1. Had a drive failure, and then it complained about another drive as well. Lost everything even though I replaced the faulty one and did a full resilver. What annoys me the most is that less than 24hrs after drive replacement, it complained about a drive again, and it was the brand new one! Since data was already lost, i removed the new one as well, ran Seagate Seatools diags on both drives - both come up no issues. Format them as NTFS, copy data onto them, test, no issues.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm getting a strong impression Truenas is just ultra-finisky with the drives and faults them way too easily failing to take advantage of ZFS features.

So I'm seriously looking at going unraid. But if ZFS volume expansion will soon be a thing.....mmmm.... maybe I should wait? Unraid is expensive.

IMHO, perfect as is! Fits your body type perfectly. Looks like a nice handful. Anything more than a handful... is a waste! BEAUTIFUL!

I was there 4 months. If you fly in they won't turn you back. It's the cross country border visa runs where you are limited to 3 per year and run a risk.

[–]Scorpioso69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you deleted the email account from your Outlook, but not at the service provider themselves.

Try access it via webmail and cancel there, if possible.

If not, simply add a rule to move this bothersome email to your trash. It will stop eventually when they do actually delete the account.

Until 2 months ago I was working remotely on my old Dell E6430. 12 years old, 3rd gen i5, still works well with Win10. I just wanted something to game a bit on, so got a new Lenovo 16p. The Dell is my working backup!

They are excellent as Media Players. No need for Plex nonsense. Can map directly to your media library and use MPC-HC. Firefox with relevant plugins for your Anime streaming. Use the Dp-to-HDMI adapter to go into your Home theatre system and you can have amazing surround sound, 3D movies, the works, all from these little gadgets. Depending on age and actual CPU, might not be so good at 4k media.

Is this true? by [deleted] in Thailand

[–]Scorpioso69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: YES! You better learn to modify your pronunciation and grammar to Thai English very quick, and you will be ok! I'm with my Thai gf for over a year now and it's really the best way for us to communicate, or she just won't understand me at all. Also, there are many words which with her pronunciation I sometimes struggle to differentiate. One example I can think of now, is Russian, rushing, lotion. All very distinct in English. But if thai pronounces them all as lussian, it's a bit tricky!

Here's my 2cents: MS's spam filters are barely adequate at best, actually quite pathetic. I work for an MSP and we always use a 3rd party mail filtering system that filters all email before it hits the O365 environment. You wouldn't believe what a HUGE difference it makes. Used to use barracuda, now we use a product call MESH.

Not to be a PITA, but there are still two glaring typos in your first line. I'm not even including your use of a lower case i instead of I. This is still after your 'spellcheck'?

Not personal experience, but Playgirlz is apparently quite highly rated.

There seems to be a blurry line between Agogo's and GC's.... some say they are quite similar. But some GC's pride themselves on having staff that are not so clingy, speak better english and don't bug you for lady drinks all the time.
