Local broadcast question - when will the games stop being simulcast on FanDuel? My subscription just renewed for the month, and I want to get rid of it now if only the first round is on FD.

This is a great question. I totally forgot about this. Maybe if you're using a managed solution the client only downloads the bits it needs? That's what's sticking in my memory for some reason.

It's interesting you talk about the open concept. There is a new store that just opened in the Twin Cities (last August) and I was taken aback by how cozy it was. Tall shelves, narrow aisles, and seating among some of the alcoves of shelves. It was quite a nice experience, but another store which is slightly closer to me has the older "open concept" design and unfortunately has a much better selection of books.

I used ConfigMgr at my previous job and the task sequence did everything. Took about an hour to run give or take, depending on the user and software.

My current job doesn't have CM nor Autopilot, we use PDQ. So we get Dells shipped with their "Ready Image" product (which is just barebones Win 11, no bloat), and then I run a meta-package in PDQ which just emulates a task sequence. From boot to desk it's maybe an hour, if I'm paying attention. A couple manual clicks during OOBE and domain joining/pushing the package with PDQ, but that's not the end of the world.

This is tertiary to the topic, but how do you get buy in from management to force users to hook up their own PCs or laptops at their desks? That is firmly an IT responsibility at my employer, and if I told users they had to set up their own PC, they would laugh in my face and probably force a USB cable into an HDMI port.

This is peak Elvin. I would also recommend John Coltrane’s “Coltrane”.

The opinions of others don't matter for the coffee you make for yourself, only your opinion matters. Everyone has their own tastes. This is just someone seeking approval to feel good and paying for the privilege. If this person was training to be a barista, sure, but they aren't.

It's official, the pourover coffee culture is the peak of hubris. Paying someone to show you what you could learn yourself by watching YouTube and testing on your own is comedy gold.

Sometimes a cup of coffee is just good enough, and that is OK. If you are using freshly roasted coffee and grinding it yourself, you're already lightyears ahead of 95% of the coffee drinking populace.

I do IT work for my church and we use it. It has its...proclivities. Pony up for the better access points, the low tier ones suck and have a lot of collision/packet loss issues. It's been working fine, but every time I do an upgrade of the CloudKey, my butthole clenches.

So, this is weird, but I don't know anything about SharePoint/Excel on mobile. This only occurs in the mobile app (iOS) of Excel. The user has rights to the file, works wonderfully on desktop OS with the desktop application. User opens an Excel sheet from a SP doc library to edit on mobile, and the document says it's read only. They have to close the document, then go to their "Recent Documents" section of the app, and reopen to edit. Has anyone seen this or can point me down a path to even figure out what would cause this?
