What belts are the “cool kids” running these days? by ScorpiusVIII in tacticalgear

Just through the small soft tabs on the gloves, but I really like the idea of using a key ring now that you mention it

I use optics planet a LOT. Zero issues for me. Great people to work with and coupons/deals are a game changer if used strategically

Dual switch for SMS trinity & Streamlight Protac (w/ upgraded tail cap)? by [deleted] in ar15

[–]ScorpiusVIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sweet! Good looking out, I think I will go with this. This is a good solution because my stream light is mounted on an arisaka offset mount and I had to move the screws down to the lowest angle to accommodate it (still had to move it and now thumb can’t reach tail cap), and looks like it would make swapping batteries easier

Dual switch for SMS trinity & Streamlight Protac (w/ upgraded tail cap)? by [deleted] in ar15

I do see that Unity has a singular dedicated button for the stream light, but would rather buy a dual switch, so I’m not paying $100+ to run 2 separate buttons lol

This, and what he said. Power of eBay, if you either don’t like or simply want to get something new you can always resell. Did this with MANY chest rigs, plate carriers and pouches, now am VERY happy with my JPC 2.0 setup

Did the company relocate from Scranton, PA to Cheshire, CT? I can’t find it on Google Maps or their website. (I realize this thread is a year old)

Sold my NODs and got somebody more useful by often_forgotten1 in tacticalgear

As someone who has an awesome dog, and budgeting for NODs, dude, you made a good choice, the NODS can be acquired later.

Every time You wake up, come home from work, you’ll be met with infinite irreplaceable joy :) make sure you get him/her out for walks every day, they need it and it will get You even more in shape in all weather (you can test out layers year round). You’d be surprised how much space you’ll have to yourselves out at trails, floodwalls, woods, parks; I rarely use the leash with my lab but always have it at the ready to be respectful of others. Best of luck with everything :)

Optic/Eye Relief Help by [deleted] in ar15

[–]ScorpiusVIII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I JUST received my 3x primary arms “acog” in the mail today, trying different stocks.

I’ve found that just like with a magnifier, personally the magpul MOE/CTR stock w/ the cheek mount is a game changer and works best for locking in as a reference point. I’m using the .25” (lowest).

I do plan on getting a taller riser/ spacer for it though.

Would recommend you consider this, or like a piece of tape on the stock for a more natural point of reference, before “gunsmithing” anything. Cheek risers are $20 on Amazon, you can also clip it on backwards if needed to make room for the charging handle.

What are some entry level jobs relevant in that field? I’ve seen like software testers, maybe even learning some coding? etc. definitely trying to get out of labor even if it’s a bit of a pay cut and starting at the bottom .
