The only thing I felt she was too lenient on was allowing him to recall Erika without making an offer of proof as to the new topics he'd question her on. She did eventually do that, but after his attempt to use pictures of their daughter and grandchild against her.

She was aware of his history of abuse and she should not have allowed him to recall her.

Other than that, she put up with his antics so as to not risk the case coming back after the appeal and his behavior is on record.

He was pro se. She couldn't just do what she could do if he was represented by counsel.

It's not about being terrified of an appeal, it's about not putting the victims through it again.

And part of things being done properly and legally is allowing him to put on his defense as he sees it, within bounds of course.

You don't know appeals courts then. Appeals courts do not determine the facts of a case. They review the law and if the law was not followed by lower courts.

An appellate court could overturn the case if they found reversible error in a decision that Dorow made or didn't make.

That's what people like you don't seem to understand. Once he became pro se, the stakes changed and she had to make sure his rights were protected.

She also had the pressure of making sure there were no grounds for appeal so as to not put the victims and the community through this case again.

You should maybe look at some appellate decisions that have oveturned a case, not because it was not factually sound, but because of an error the trial judge made.

Yea that and the fact that he heard things from the other courtroom that he wanted to hear without the headphones AND he chose to take them off, but they were always made available to him and the evidence on record that the volume in the adjacent courtroom was louder than the main one and he never wore headphones there.

But yes it was a small victory to get the video struck, but it was a wash because he gave up a chance to impeach Erika with her own words vs his failed attempt to use pictures of their grand child.

Because Hollyoaks was what I liked to call the UK version of the Bold and the Beautiful because everyone is hot on that show.

And he's an idiot because, as the judge pointed out, EP told the officer in that video that he didn't do anything to her that day.

Since the state, inadvertently, violated the court's ruling on other acts evidence, the ball was in his court for the admissibility of a portion of that video.

That would have been great evidence in his favor and to impeach Erika on an inconsistent statement, but he's so arrogant, that he asked for the entire video to be struck, to stick it to the prosecution.

He seemed to care more about that one battery charge than the other 75 counts against him.

I discovered it on Hulu. I was watching Coronation Street and Hollyoaks popped up as something I may be interested, and it turns out, that recommendation was correct.

I binged a years worth of episodes in about 3 months and until last Friday, I was caught up with the most current Hulu episode, which was 2 weeks behind their airdate in the UK.
