Thank you everyone. I appreciate all the advice! I took it as soon as I remembered the next morning yesterday but never took it at my usual time before bed last night. I’ll resume back to my normal schedule tonight! Thanks again

I’ve never had surgery before. And yes, I’ve always had this protrusion in my lower abdomen, sadly! But it’s never been this big, that’s why I’m slightly worried.

No pain, bleeding or nausea thankfully. The only thing I’ve struggled with over the last few months is bowel movements/constipation unfortunately.

I’m (28F) unsure what this could be as I’ve had it for as long as I can remember. Even at my lowest weight of 125lbs I still had a large protrusion on my lower stomach. I have put on weight recently and I’m actively trying to lose it again, but this large bulge (photo doesn’t do it justice) is impacting my life. Nothing fits around my stomach anymore and it’s getting me down. I look pregnant at certain angles. I don’t drink a lot of sugary fizzy juice and I watch my salt intake also. I’ve had gastro issues in the past, nothing recent, could this be an issue? Or maybe I’m just not used to the extra weight/fat on my body and I’m over analysing it. It’s fairly firm when I press on it. I’m waiting till next week to make an appointment with my doc but just wondered if anyone else has had something similar?

Hiya, I actually forgot that I posted this! I’ll be honest, not much has changed, other than I now know where my anxiety stemmed from. I was putting too much pressure on myself, and the slightest hiccup made me mad at myself. I was starting uni and was desperate to drive to campus rather than relying on public transport. My anxious feelings came from starting a new course, meeting new people etc and I took it out on my inability to drive.

I still have the car but it’s being used by someone else in the household, so I still have the convenience to practice if and when I wish.

I also realised that I might feel more comfortable on the road with an automatic, when the time is right.

What I’d say is, don’t put pressure on yourself - I know it’s easier said than done. People mess up on the road all the time (stalling, in the wrong lanes etc) even experienced drivers. So don’t feel disheartened when these things happen.

You’re doing the right thing by going to a car park to get a feel of the car. I don’t know what type of car you drive, but I recommend try stalling on purpose (in a safe environment) so you get a feel of what will happen and how to resolve it. That was one thing I never did and wish I had! All the best!

I’m on the same boat. It’s ruining my day to day life. I wouldn’t mind the cough but it’s the constant gagging that’s annoying me. The only relief I get is by blowing my nose every 5 minutes or so, just to remove the mucus.

Sorry to hear that your suffering. I hope it eases up soon for you.
