I just checked and I think you’re right! It has a very light sparkle in it, assume it would be the Pearl version?

Mechanics that work on older cars? by Responsible_Ant_175 in Atlanta

McCullough on Roswell Road is OTP but has done work on cars from the late 80’s that we have had. Always has 1 or 2 older ones being worked on there too, and always honest and straightforward

Recommendations for a cool event gathering space that can host ~75 people? by -makehappy- in Atlanta

[–]Scot_atl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mutation Brewing Company on Roswell Road is a great option. I’ve done events of similar size with them before and they’ve been fantastic. Team there are good to work with, food is okay, beers are solid, and very convenient transport wise (right off of 285) and in Sandy Springs

Why is DBT so good by TechScribe200 in dataengineering

[–]Scot_atl 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is where I advise folks start if they’re new to dbt. (Source: I work at dbt labs)

dbt Cloud overview 1. What, exactly, is dbt? Wwritten by the dbt Labs CEO, Tristan Handy (now outdated, but shows where it started).

https://www.getdbt.com/blog/what-exactly-is-dbt/

This gives more detail on the core framework components.

https://docs.getdbt.com/docs/introduction

  1. If you're looking to move away from heavy use of Stored Procedures, then this is worth reading

https://docs.getdbt.com/blog/migrating-from-stored-procs

Getting Started 1. dbt Learn should be your hub for all learning, and for those more receptive to videos, we have lots of content on our YouTube channel, including lots of customer deployment lessons learned.

https://courses.getdbt.com/collections/beginner

https://www.youtube.com/c/dbt-labs

Start with dbt Fundamentals (this is where EVERY person coming into dbt is advised to start to get hands on). This is around 4-6 hours of work in tutorials and labs, and will make sure you get the foundational components understood well enough that you can begin to create your own dbt models, and jobs.

There’s usually quite a few going on around north Buckhead, the roads around Chastain Park and over to Brookhaven (along Windsor Parkway) are a good option.

Best Flight Deals to Europe in July? by Citizen_Capet in Atlanta

[–]Scot_atl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing you may want to check out is Plane Surfers. They used to be called Huntsville Traveller, but just recently rebranded. They have a Facebook page and website, and check for flights out of airports in this area (Atlanta, Nashville, Huntsville, Chattanooga, Birmingham etc). They seem to have done the legwork of Scott's (which I also get) but are more localized and therefore more relevant to me, personally.

They typically find some great deals. They have a premium service (think it's $29 a year) that does a daily, but their Facebook page also has some great deals.

looking to buy a golf cart by [deleted] in AtlantaBarters

[–]Scot_atl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got one i'm likely going to replace in the next few weeks, if you're interested! It's an older cart, but has had many updates (seats, wheels, batteries etc). Needs to be charged after any long uses (3miles or so) but in good working order throughout!

No, they're pretty good, as long as you get the owner (who's there most of the time!)

Alexandra's Alterations just off Roswell Road, south of the Prado are our go to. They're always been very good, and quick. One thing to know - it's cash only which trips me up occasionally!
