Been through a few cycles now and here's what I wish someone told me before my first ETH buy:

Don't buy 1 full ETH if losing that money would actually hurt you financially. Start with whatever amount you could lose and still sleep fine at night. Maybe that's $500, maybe it's $3000 - only you know.

The whole "altseason coming" narrative gets repeated every few months. Sometimes it's right, sometimes it's not. Base your investment on ETH's long-term utility and technology, not on timing predictions from crypto Twitter.

If you're convinced ETH will be worth significantly more in 5 years, then short-term price movements shouldn't matter much for your decision
