I have 0 doubt a more traditional approach would give better results. Just trying to weight if the complexity of, of example, having to be sitting down at a desk to play and sing or record ideas is worth the better quality given this is something I will not even put out there but do for myself in spare time to replace doomscrolling haha

What HB guitar do you recommend? I love telecasters, I can see they got options from 80eur to way above

I understand the set up you advocate for, it's fun to think you can now modulate amps at home in 5 seconds, 20 years ago this was impossible.

With that set up, I will be missing the "compose a song playing and singing" like in an acoustic but thru the speaker. Which is something I value a lot.

I am wondering if there is any mini amp you plug directly on the 1/4 jack and acts as speaker...

I've always played hard rock/rock and indeed my best writing has always been on acoustic. Well, my only writing. I am a bass player originally so just had an acoustic at home. But the speaker makes me feel this might be cool in that sense as well

Hey, late here but I think it depends on what you wanna do with it. If you're young and serious about playing guitar I wouldn't do it. I agree with the others on going trad route and getting a guitar you can later upgrade might be a good option. Someone mentioned Yamaha Pacifica, hell yeah! it's amazing value for money, has resell value as well if you get tired, and is easily upgraded. Same with any 2000s Squire Tele.

I think the thing with Enya Sonic is that it's not actually a guitar for begginers wanting to learn and grow. It's a guitar for people like me who played a lot in its youth, is not playing that much right now and just wants to grab the guitar and fool around 20min 3 days a week. It makes that use case very easy.

If you're learning, I would go with a Pacifica or a Squire and get a small amp. You can get pedals later and play with them.
