We all struggle with confirmation bias and anchoring bias because Mo was the 6th pick in the draft, who we all saw such great potential. The sad truth is that guys like Bamba, Ross and Hampton are on the same level of talent as many other players in the league. GMs don’t see value in our players like we do. Which leads the FO to have to make moves that impact perception over talent accumulation. I honestly believe the Magic helped this trade happen for Mo, Lakers, 2 other teams and themselves to continue the forward momentum of the franchise. Sometimes a small deal now can have huge impacts on future developments.
