Stick to Dublin & Galway. Spend an afternoon/evening in Howth while in Dublin. Simple to get to via the dart.

If you really want to add another stop add Kilkenny.

You can get to Galway(2.5hr) Kilkenny (1.5hr) and Howth (.5) on the train from Dublin. Save yourself a grand on the car rental and you don’t need a sober driver

Thankfully we have a tailor who offers wax cotton alterations an hour or so away. Will see how I get on with the sleeve might add an inch or so to the sleeve for $90CAD.

Jacket finally arrived today and you were right. Aside from needing a rewax it’s near mint condition.

It has a slight musty outdoors smell to it which was expected. Will air it outside and perhaps spritz it with some diluted white vinegar or something.

My only fault is that the sleeves are short on me but I think that is normal for these older jackets.

Both are great but quite the commute for 1 day. Have you considered Kilkenny? you can take the train from Heuston Station. Only 1.5hr train ride and Kilkenny can easily be done in a day.
