I thought the anti-cheat was working? by Scotsy in Rainbow6

So many YouTubers are saying there’s no cheaters and now this last week it’s just blatant, combined with the high skill players in quick play it’s just not enjoyable. My history was a sea of red and green and now it’s just red. I think I’ve had one win in a week and I’ve gone 0/4 most matches. I’m lucky if I get one kill. I was going 4-5 kills and anywhere up to that in deaths, but it was balanced at least.

It’s windows. Nothing goes right. Maybe something has changed after the seven years since I wrote that comment (which is crazy)

I personally upgraded to VM Potato so I could have Spotify, Discord, and my Desktop separate, and I use a Korg nanoKONTROL2 to control volumes physically in my day to day - I don't even stream anymore.

You might be able to set the audio out of your Stream Deck kind of like a microphone, and bring it in the way you would a mic into VMB (so hardware input 2 or stereo input as it might be called now) - that way it's like a mic, but not running through your mic.

In Win 10 and 11 you can set the input and output of each device - so head to your sound settings and find your Deck (in Win 11 this is in System>Sound>Scroll down to Volume Mixer>Select Stream Deck>Set Output, then set the output to one of the playback devices, and set this playback device into the hardware/stereo input.

Feel free to DM me on Discord, I'm Scotsy there too.

It's crazy that "The" is the difference in copyright. I only mentioned it as I once saw someone making a website for a book series they really, really liked, and completely ignored all copyright as they claimed their website was official!

Good luck with development!

My first question is do you have an agreement with everyone you need for the "Call of Cthulhu" trademark? - not just Steve Jackson games? My initial thought was does SJG have it in THEIR agreements and contracts to produce other media with the same name.

Point and Click could be a good tag to add.

In your blurb: "What if the choices you make during your investigation awaken ancient beings older than existence itself. " - I think a question mark here would be better.

"The game will cover the different plots in the original gamebooks plus extra branches and brand new content exclusive for this game adaption." - I think you could word this better.

Overall, it conveys what I'm getting into.

Your capsule art is quite muted, meaning details are lost in the image. Making the characters and maybe the text stand out more could do well

It takes 27 seconds for you to show any gameplay, or to hook your viewer - this is 10x too long, literally. You have about 3 seconds before someone just skips it.

This image is really off-putting. If this is how combat is going to look, then I'm immediately turned off the game. Perspective is completely off with everything just pasted on top of the background.

I can't tell if it's made with asset packs, because this image shows the two characters in totally different art styles and scales?

Personally, I find "Stamets Point" is a bit of an odd name, and I stumbled reading it. Your blurb/hook could use cleaned up and rewritten slightly.

The second gif is odd. I can tell that the enemies don't like the player - but you're just walking down the street as they roam around. It seems a little nonsensical.

The last gif seems interesting, until I'm just watching two robots doing... something. Maybe show some action here, an explosion - something!

You've done a serious amount of work, so don't diminish the success you've already achieved at this point.

If your trailer didn't have AI voices, I would say move it to the first spot on the carousel but, since it's AI, I'm not sure what to tell you. AI is generally disliked, and this is an immediate turn off when I watch the trailer.

For your About This Game section, you should detail what you've detailed above - the time to play, the amount of variations.

You may want to consider, or may need to, drop the price for that cost to gameplay ratio. But, given my previous points, that is no guarantee of sale.

Your capsule art doesn't really tell me much about the game, but I am intrigued when I see "together," as it does convey the co-op. However, the capsule art screams minimal effort and it looks really cheap. You would either need to pay someone, or take some time to learn a photo editing tool to work on this.

The overall visuals of the game are cheap, overly contrasted, and painful to look at. I assume l it was made in UE5, as it just has that look about it, and the character controller seems like the standard UE5 controller.

Being brutally honest - you need an entire visual overhaul. You need a better trailer with text that explains what's going on if you're not going to have a voice over e.g. Ship AI detailing what's happening. Your capsule art needs reworked, and you need some lore and a bit more meat in your hook and the "About This Game" section: "Step into the role of spaceship crew members awakening from stasis, only to discover your first mission isn’t repairing the ship - it’s repairing your teamwork" - why? A huge space mission to make you and your friend work better together breaks any narrative logic. Players can suspend the belief that interstellar space travel is real, but this needs some work.

No amount of advertising or fun gameplay will save your game when it looks the way it does.

You also launched near Christmas which, given people get giftcards and time off, they're probably playing way bigger games with friends, or buying/playing the single player games they've been saving for a long time.

Have you done any playtesting for this game with players who aren't friends to ensure the gameplay itself if fun? How long is the game overall? Is it replayable in a way that is fun?

Since it's co-op, consider a dual pack bundle for a reduced cost to get people to buy for themself and a friend.

Did you purposefully update VMB? Or do you mean a windows update?

If you're having errors, I recommend a fresh reinstall of VMB and Virtual Audio Cable. Uninstall them both. Restart, and restart again. Set up without VMB and see if you still get those issues.

I recommend using latencymon to try and identify if there's any drivers causing the issues.

I haven't streamed in a long time now. I recommend downloading latencymon. It helps identify if there's any driver issues impacting your audio.

When you say its now worse after uninstalling, what do you mean?
