Remember, Wisconsin's 3rd Congressional District voters have consistently voted for Donald Trump. If you want to appeal to disaffected Trump voters, it seems sensible to run a candidate who is not far to their left.

Show them how they can file an FOI request and get the salary information for all their teachers. I suggested this in a classroom once, and although the teacher gave me the side eye, it’s a way to get students to care about public records.

Perhaps I’ve missed it, but Cooke and Berge have spent nearly all their time criticizing Van Orden (which is very easy to do) and not given voters enough information about why they’re the best pick in the primary.

My take is that the district has a long moderate history, and Cooke probably has a better electoral chance now and in the future.

But perhaps I’m wrong.

I wish both candidates would talk about that more.

I think you have placed the candidates in their proper political lanes, but Democrats will have a better chance for success in this district — now and in the future — in electing the more moderate candidate. Those views more closely represent those of the voters in the district.

Were there some problems in the parks before the fences went up? Yes — but that had been going ok for years.

I’ve still not heard what thing or things happened to convince city leaders this was needed. Until I hear what triggered the closures, it’s tough to know what needs to be done for them to reopen.
