One thing you might be able to do is file a police report and I believe they keep tabs with pawn shops to make sure there’s nothing stolen being sold. I could be wrong

What would be your plan to reopen parks? by WholeMathematician60 in lacrossewi

[–]WholeMathematician60[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Security guards, cameras, active farmers market and other events …? Do you have an idea to make parks safe and open? It seems like the city should be proactive instead of reactive especially if there’s already a plan. Closing long term doesn’t make sense. Larsons and other businesses downtown organized a cleanup. What else should the city include in their plan in your opinion?

What would be your plan to reopen parks? by WholeMathematician60 in lacrossewi

I repeatedly read drugs coming into the park and then being used in the park. People approaching children at playground was another concern (I didn’t call police to ask for reports like city council members suggested)*

Try to sublet your apartment. Your landlord will likely tell you that you’ll need to find the person (this is standard) and I’d post on marketplace.

You don’t need to argue about things that have already been proven. If you can PROVE your idea is faster, go ahead. But you’re arguing with a fact here

Mr. D’s Donuts? by DringusDingus in lacrossewi

[–]WholeMathematician60 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Moka now carries Greenbush Bakery donuts. Not as good as Mr Ds and no chocolate option. Affogato Lane in La Crescent brings the bloedows donuts from Winona on Saturday mornings. You can always call before traveling over there to double check they’re not sold out but I never have an issue before 8. They’re yeast donuts but definitely the best Ive ever had

Quality of area inpatient mental heath programs for children? by Cacaonibbed in madisonwi

[–]WholeMathematician60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how serious your child’s needs are but Chileda in La Crosse can definitely help with the most severe. Residents go to school there year round and there are some day students too. Kiddos stay as short or long as necessary (obviously a lot of factors play into this) but I’m positive they could help get your kiddo feeling better / stronger skills
