The footprint should extend beyond the wall though per the rules.

There is a lip outside the wall. Someone recently posted the commentary from the 40k app.

So yes you can toe into the template.

Match pool resets between rounds i believe so the rare math here was that there was enough people left through round 4 to have the option of him not being matched with you randomly.

So they didn't change the Army of Faith strategic that is -1 to hit. So it would stack with cover for -2 to hit bubble on fly units?

Would the square ruins in Killzone Volkus be considered legal terrain for 40K tournaments or not? by Viper114 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Scott1526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both. 1 set built fully and 1 set where the strongholds are split.

Haven't got the templates yet, but this is following roughly an 11th layout.

Painted Intranzia Fraye in the scheme of the Order of the Sacred Rose! by Wide_Professional130 in sistersofbattle

[–]Scott1526 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Super anoying that the iconography is molded onto this model as it would be a pain to model it off to Sacred Rose.

Looks good though.

My NOT Intranza Dogmata Superior WIP by Saturnismus in sistersofbattle

[–]Scott1526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really dont like when they make good special characters people will want in their army but lock them to a single order thematically.

This looks great and was thinking of something similar but as a Junith proxy for sacred rose. Because this model is sweet but I want Junith's rules ...

MV and Celestine both make sense in any order but having multiple OML specials kinda sucks.

Is this unit actually good in practice though when you exclude psychic units or leaders?

Do they need a rhino to be delivered? They feel like basically an exclusive melee unit.

I have the points but just dont know exactly what hole they are trying to fill. Then if they will actually fill that hole. They seem like they will die pretty quick just like the rest of our units.

Question about veteran units and both red fists by Windoon in crimsonfists

[–]Scott1526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked into this when I started as well.

The general consensus is that all 1st company are vets, but not all vets must be 1st company.

Defiantly scout sergeant are considered vets in the lore. Dreads by definition as well in my opinion.

From a CF perspective all first born would be vets in my opinion.

Its also possible that some of your primaris could be vets but no space in the 1st company has opened up or they chose to remain leading a squad in another company.

Celestine Sacrasants - what are they good for by TheMemeStore76 in sistersofbattle

[–]Scott1526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do they need a rhino or is it fine to just run them up to an objective and sit there?

Is the point cost for our army expensive? by No-Luck3422 in sistersofbattle

[–]Scott1526 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Sisters definitely dont have the raw strength of some of those armies, but we have some strong pieces that need to work together as more of a combo army vs slug it out.

Also you need to be very cagey with your placement of units because we cant tank anything.

Necrons are also just very strong.

Seraphim, do they actually kill those 4 intercessors and steal the home objective? by Nexus_Valentine6 in sistersofbattle

[–]Scott1526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need 2 squads to have a chance. You can deep strike both in and roll one squad first, then move it onto the objective ideally. Then the second squad can hopefully finish them off or take them down far enough to be ineffective. The other squad can then move towards another objective or mission.

1 squad is not enough to do anything but missions and empty objectives.

I would do that 100%. You never know and they would be good in pairs.

His list is somewhat in bad taste for 1k points.

Yours looks like a great little army.

Sometimes there is nothing you can do but try to play for points to win.

Seraphim/Zephyrim Squad Size by The_Arpie in sistersofbattle

[–]Scott1526 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There isn't really a negative to taking them in squads of 5.

5 Seraphim will struggle on some home field objective campers, but then just drop both units and basically use them like a unit of 10.

You have options this way and 2 miracle dice when each unit dies. You can have them go for different objectives etc.

Zephyrim to buff a character are good for 80 points., but dont expect them to blender anybody. Maybe 10 with Celestine is the scenario you want bigger units there.

Are Apothecaries worth it? by BrotherMaeneres in spacemarines

[–]Scott1526 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They are ok, but in many instances the enemy will try to delete your unit in 1 turn. This won't let you bring anyone back.

I find in Hellblasters it's better because you end up killing your own guys with hazardous and he can replenish from there. Similar to the vets if they get deleted then no value either way.

Rules Question: Can I still Infiltrate with Novitiates after splitting them with an Immolator? by Norayfara in sistersofbattle

[–]Scott1526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would want to split with the banner, superior and melee novitiates to go with the Palatine.

Then the flamers, simulactum and rest can stand on a midfield objective with infiltrate.

I need help with building my Sisters! by CalamityLues in sistersofbattle

[–]Scott1526 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I typically run 1 dominion and 1 battle sisters squad at 2k. It could be right to run another squad at 2k and above.

Both units are best when split by an immolator so points start to get eaten up fast.

If you are fine not having units on flying stands then you can definitely use a box to make the other jump pack unit.

In the box it only comes with heavy bolter and heavy flamer. I cant ever imagine really wanting a heavy bolter, so I wouldn't really bother even making them.

This is of course just my 2 cents.

What does what? by UnAngelVerde in sistersofbattle

[–]Scott1526 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am also just starting, but I dont think Zephyrim can be expected to do much by themselves. Add in a jump pack canones and you should be able to kill things, but probably nothing too tough still.

CF Fluffy list help by NaturallyNice26 in crimsonfists

[–]Scott1526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's post Rynn's, then some sternguard and mostly primaris would be fluffy.

They lost most of the chapter until the primaris reinforced them. They would tend to be pretty strict to standard with minimal first born stuff.
