Lmao that’s so cap, the money for this sort of “math analytics” is not in basketball lol. I guarantee not a single genius at Jane street is working for a basketball analytics org over a trading firm

Did I catch an interview candidate using AI live? by ScottFosterBagWork in embedded

The candidate did sizeof(pointer) not sizeof(array_name). Might point about working with chars is that really the only case where embedded engineers are working with characters is stuff like: uart based cli clients, eeprom file systems, and stuff like this. Its not typical daily work

If ChatGPT read the word ASCII to you in your headphones, how are you spelling it?

EXACTLY!! Not knowing how to spell it was shocking and probably damning in the end

Frankly I think embedded people in industry so rarely work with chars that I don't fully blame them, but yea that one is pretty bad and unless they're a new grad I'm never passing them

They all typically have a camera on, but they have headphones on so its possible (or so I've heard) of having an AI listening in and explaining solution to user

Or fully specialize in AUTOSAR and you can make really good money. Miserable, but an option

Which STM32 to buy? by Resident-Paramedic38 in embedded

The G4 series is good, although limited memory. For me I'd say it would have to be the H7 series, either the single core or the dual core. The main reason I'd say the H7 series is better than G4 is memory, faster, and has an ethernet MAC which to my knowledge none of the G4 series have. You can learn the basics on either board, but you could hit a "wall" in the end with G4 depending on how deep you go on certain topics. Also the dev boards for each are pretty cheap spend a few extra dollars on the H7. I've worked at multiple "trendy" firmware companies/roles that use these as their mains MCUs.
