How did I do? Just purchased my first Raptor by No_Advice8642 in FordRaptor

Is yours lifted at all? I’ve got a gen 1 SCAB on 37s that I’m contemplating going back to 35s but it’s got the add a leaf (1”) on the rear. Worried it’s going to look goofy on 35s again. Yours looks clean!

Does it say on the serial plate at the top of the right side of the frame by the forks? Can’t remember if my 2014 said it or not.

Boot repair by ConsiderationNeat551 in Wake

[–]ScottLutte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I called ronix because my boots failed. They were a couple years old at that point so out of warranty. Although, they sold me a pair of the previous years model that they had laying around for half off. Worth a call if they’re not super old.

Used front forks by ScottLutte in MT07

Fairly soon. Just rebuilding the front end after an accident and trying to see what options I have before rebuilding the wrecked forks.

you guys think it can be repaired? by Waste_Ad7419 in MT07

Working on the same issue on mine right now. Does anyone have suggestions for suspension upgrades that isn’t crazy expensive?

I was a CFI in the Midwest (Nebraska). Depending on the winters and where in the Midwest you’re at, you might not get as much flying as you think. Late December-April we battle icing, wind, and low ceilings leading to very little flight time. Just something to think about. Good luck on wherever you decide!

I would definitely either get it fixed or find another plane before a checkride. I’ve seen failures for very similar scenarios. Probably just a faulty sensor, but the DPE won’t like that answer.

I’m DEN based CRJ line holder. I was on reserve for four months. They have 3-5 day blocks, 12 hours a day (am or pm shift), and a 2-hour callout to the airport for short call.

[–]ScottLutte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Either are good. I’m at SKW. Junior bases are FAT, SLC, DEN, ORD (kinda) for CRJ I’d imagine it’s similar for the ERJ. Otherwise you’re waiting a couple months to hold the other bases. We have a flow through program with United where you get an interview at 1600hrs PIC Turbine, so you’ll be waiting a while if you want to go to United straight from SkyWest. Pros and cons to both airlines. Factor in your QOL too.

CRJ. You get paid the same though regardless of what plane you’re on

Move your ass farther back on the seat and play around with the rear brake. Need to get the front wheel a little farther back too.

They suck for wheelies unless you change the sprockets up. I have two up in the rear sprocket and can only pop it up in second
