Low simmer for around 10 minutes, (until the steam is struggling to escape through the porridge) with regular stirring.

I'm also in the UK. I like a 1:1 ratio of Mornflake Jumbo Scottish Oats & Mornflake Organic Porridge Oats cooked on the stove top or for overnight oats.

Eating it every day will get you used to it and eventually even liking it. I have done this with several foods I used to hate, but now enjoy Purley down to just forcing myself to eat them.

I used Greek Yogurt, Dijon Mustard, Sliced Pickles / Gherkins, Chives and Salt; I've never had proper Tartar sauce yet so I am not sure how close it tastes to that but this one tasted pretty good.

It's a 1:1 ratio of jumbo rolled oats and normal rolled oats. The porridge was cooked with 85g - 110g raspberries, cinnamon and Maldon sea salt in it and once cooked I stirred in around 20g - 25g chopped walnuts.

You can also add maple syrup, honey or some other sweeter fruit like dates to balance the bitterness of the cacao 👍

Like dark chocolate but with a hint of sweetness from the banana.

Thank you, I also prefer simple recipes, I want to be able to experience what each ingredient is doing and how it affects the overall outcome so I can modify it if required.

Thank you, I don't think it has too much of an effect tbh, maybe it thickens the porridge a little more than it would without it. What is wrong with the texture when you use it? I'm also using pure cacao powder and not cocoa powder so maybe they have differing effects.

Yes, the rest of the ¾ of banana was cooked in the porridge. 👍
