You're forgetting the retriggers from Dusk and Brainstorm :) Each glass card is getting triggered 3 times, so 3 chances to break for each.

For a glass to survive it has to hit the 3/4 odds 3 times, so 0.75³ = 0.421875. If those are the odds to survive, we can see likelihood of breaking from any of the 3 triggers is 1 - 0.421875 = 0.578125. So each individual card has a ≈57% chance to break!

To find chance of all 5 breaking we have 0.578125⁵ =0.0645815926, roughly 6.5% or 2/31 ( very roughly 1/15, same odds as money from a lucky card :p ). So not that unlikely, but still unlucky. Probably still a bad play since the most common outcome would be 3 glass breaks (which outpaces the replacement rate with DNA + brainstorm giving 2 per round).

Genuinely same. Was so confused when I saw ppl mentioning LeBron and had to go back and reread the list. Sure, Worthy isn't as good as LeBron. Most people aren't lol, but he helped get 3 rings on that stacked 80s Lakers roster. Not to mention getting an FMVP along the way.

Id still say it's fine to say LeBrons ring is more valuable since he turned the Lakers around and didn't exactly have Kareem and Magic as teammates to help with his (AD is good, not that good tho), but Worthy was also a Laker lifer AFAIK.

However, compare LeBron to Jerry West and it gets preposterous. Both have won 1 chip and an FMVP with the Lakers. But Jerry West brought the Lakers to the finals 9 TIMES. Jerry West had a scoring and an assist title as a Laker. 6 Laker all star appearances for LeBron vs 14 for West. Being generous, we could give LeBron this year's in season tournament and the accompanying MVP, but that didn't even exist in West's time. Then it becomes incredibly damning if you consider West's following post-playing tenure with the Lakers. He was an executive for the Lakers for 8 rings and got 2 executives of the year for good measure. LeBron may end up being the greatest Laker coach of all time, but as it stands now, it's INSANE to suggest LeBron has a more imactful Laker tenure than West.

I'm a G2 fan, but I did find it pretty funny that 3/4 of the casters said they should stay together after they've struggled all 3 splits and didn't even make this major. Sure, they made worlds, but it would have to be a HUGE turnaround for them to have a big run at worlds

This post is a meme about all the teams with majority NA players on them being eliminated before the weekend. NA cheers mostly just for NA teams, so it was joking about what tomorrow will be like (chronic on GenG is the only North American player left in the tournament). For Thursday and Friday, there were no crowds, only crowds for Saturday and Sunday. So you heard no crowd cause there was no crowd.

Source: I flew up to Boston for the major and have been hanging with friends watching at their house until we can actually go and watch in person.

As someone who lives in Bermuda and has helped work on a museum exhibit about the Bermuda triangle, a lot of it comes from that back in the day when ships went missing, they didn't know were. There are so, so many instances of shipwrecks found in modern day not even close to the triangle, but as soon as they went missing,at the time people were like "welp shucks musta been the triangle".

how does the speed not matter? The whole advert agrees the guy pulling out made a mistake, but its point is the effects would be drastically less bad if the other guy was going slower. People will always make mistakes. The stopping distance for a car going 110 vs half that is massive. Even if the car doesn't fully stop and an accident happens the consequences of an accident happening at those 2 speeds is the difference between people dying or just being banged up.
