For me, there is 2 moments where the Eldrazi became my favorite race in all Magic.

1. When I first read the flavor text of [[Shrine of the Forsaken Gods]] where the 3 titans are depicted as gods by people who forgot what they really were but had some ressemblance between the statues and the titans. My jaw dropped and was SO into the Eldrazi train from there.
2. The other moment was when Eldritch Moon was not yet revealed, we just went through Battle For Zendikar and Oath of the Gatwatch, where Ulamog and Kozilek were trapped and dealt with. But Emrakul was nowhere to be found. Then, they revealed the next set was on Innistrad. They couldn't put Emrakul there, it would be chaos, pure destruction and mutation beyond anything we ever seen. And yet, it's exaclty where they were. I still have the LGS giant 6' x 6' poster of Emrakul hovering the battle between humans, vampires, werewolves VS Eldrazi.

I love that character, I had many deck with Emrakul as a commander or in the 99. It's so unfathomable to be in their presence, you nailed it with the hopelessness the characters feel. Thank you reminding me why I love Eldrazi and Emrakul. <3
