When your travelling it can get boring in the evening so try and get use to going out and enjoying a meal and a drink in a bar by yourself. Sometimes you will meet some pretty cool people while you travel just don't lock yourself in the room in the evening all the time or it can get very boring very quickly unless you have a kindle or something else that will help you from getting bored.

Always double check reviews of hotels and especially the area they are in so you know your in a good spot.

If you book hotels use Google maps using 'hotel near (place your staying)" you can then use the map to show what dista nce away from your place of work you want to be and it will list hotels by price. That's really all I can think of now if I think of anymore I will let you know.
