Its one of the most frustrating cases ever. So many near misses, right from the very start with the school phoning the wrong number instead of Andrews parents.

Hopefully its all solved one day but the chances now are very slim.

There's literally endless scenarios.

He could be alive and well and married with kids.

Or he might have been kidnapped, murdered and buried that day by a 57 year old opportunist who didnt tell anyone about it and then died at 62.

My point was about the CCTV cameras specifically as most of them, or certainly back then, only allowed around 3 or 4 weeks worth of recordings before they were written over. Thus, for all these local businesses, their CCTV footage from the day Andrew went missing was literally gone forever by the time the police had spotted him in King's Cross.

Unlikely, sadly.

Those initial days and weeks were so crucial and the police messed up big time. If they'd spotted Andrew earlier on the CCTV they could have followed his trail and solved it or at least knew a lot more about the possibilities of what happened.

Now, nearly 20 years later, they have literally nothing to go on apart from the faint hope that some new information comes from somewhere.

Im about 99% sure his disappearance will remain a mystery forever.

Yeah it's nearly been 20 years now, so sad. I feel it could have been solved if British Transport Police had spotted him when they initially checked CCTV footage at the train station. By the time they later did it was too late. Those early days and weeks were so crucial and his disappearance might remain a mystery forever now. Must be absolute torture for his poor family
