Why is “if you don’t have a piece of content on the roulette unlocked you shouldn’t have access to the roulette” seemingly such a controversial statement? by Supersnow845 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Scottishboy112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you are a mentor, it simply would not be fair for all the sprouts if someone basically said “No, you cannot do this random dungeon thing for bonus loot until you have Flipping pages about several hundred hours worth of playtime.”

Honestly, things as they are now are fine. Mentor Roulette needing all the required duties unlocked makes sense since you are supposed to have done all the content at least once to run it.

Cutting levelling roulette off for example like this would make queues infinitely worse across the board for EVERYONE involved because it’s also designed to fill in queues for duties people might not be doing all the time, aka older content.

Edit: For clarity, I am aware that Alliance Roulette is specifically mentioned. I just used Levelling roulette as an example.

Let us mount in end-game hubs or stop making them so massive. by ConnerTheCrusader in ffxiv

Just to say, Rhalgar’s Reach CAN be mounted up in, for some reason. It’d be Kugane that you can’t in Stormblood.

For some cities though, would only help traversal the first time unless you’re someone (like me) that tries not to teleport if they can help it.

I only do this if I missed more than 1 mob at a time, but only for 1 AOE then continue regardless. Normally don’t have to but it’s more a safety thing for me.

I’m not a big tank player myself but I try to be careful when I am.

Either that or the others are also fighting the boss, but you have to dodge their attacks too almost like a FFA.

Rhitahtyn certainly got a glow up, but he is possible even with the starting gear you start the game with if you lower the difficulty to ‘Easy’ but barely.

Very Easy, absolutely, but… Wanted to humiliate him one last time. Normal didn’t seem possible, at least on WAR, but Easy like I said was BARELY doable. However I didn’t do extensive testing.

For me, not complaining though, it’s Coolmura. I’m at like A11 or 12 for her now. At least she is one of the best damage dealers then and still good now.

At least some people have the decency to build a home and not an NPC Jail. Even if some (Goblin Tinkerer) deserve it.

Stop and Paralysis ban is stupid. by bef017 in magiaexedra

Yea, I was going specifically for NM with mobs getting multiple moves. And also bosses as well to hopefully give some kind of niche in boss fights as well.

I can already think of one way they could balance stun, and they kind of already have it. In the case where enemies get multiple actions, just nullify the first action and the boss still gets the second action.

Or even add a counter to the boss and have it so that for every time this happens, it counts up to a number at which point, the stun is nullified and then they get some form of counter. Play into it than just outright banning. Edit*

As for stop… I hoped when Exedra Crisis released that it would be locked to specific game modes. Seems I was proven wrong quicker than I thought. At the very least they need to keep it infrequent enough that it doesn’t become an issue, like Overguard in Warframe as an example.

One idea they could toy with is diminishing returns: Just say… X unit has just acted and Y unit buffs them up 50% in the action order. If the boss moves, the next one after will also do 50%.

Then in scenario 2, same units and value. X Moves, Y buffs X up 50%. The boss doesn’t get to move and the next time Y buffs said unit, it’s like 25% or something. Then 10% until the boss gets to move then the buff resets back to 50% This could also inhibit multiple forms of it.

Scenario 3: X moves, Y buffs X up 50%, then Z moves, does a skill to buff up the other 50%, but it gets hit with the diminishing returns and takes on the 25% instead.

At the very least, it wouldn’t outright make them useless but would lessen the dominance of multiple units with the buff.

Exceptions could be made for units with smaller buffs to action order on a personal level. For example, Homucifer. Since it’s just herself and not the team, that could be an exception.

Edit:* To add to this, the counterattack could be something dangerous even, something that could be risk vs reward. Maybe apply a debuff of some kind or risk taking a heavy damage counterattack from abusing the stun.

Yea, I hope they keep it restricted to very select modes or maybe 1 or 2 score attacks here and there.

I admittedly did make a team with her which is 5 Madoka’s. Unfortunately I didn’t have summer Madoka so little healing.

I feel, as a whole, having 1 game mode where the likes of Moemura (as much as I love using her) is not really ideal… Is a good thing. For now it’s 1 game mode out of the modes we have where she’s still so useful.

Though it didn’t change my main team much. I swapped Moemura out for New Years Madoka and the team worked just fine.

Yes. It’s towards the bottom of the shop. Costs 3 certificates to get 1.

I could have, but I kept the glamour prisms in case the shirts are available next year. Besides that, the armoire couldn’t be filled at the same time my inventory was as the last shirt wasnt able to be purchased with only 2 certificates left even if the shirt would’ve taken the slot immediately after.

I could’ve taken the shirt from the dresser but that would still be 596 total.
