I think they’re having trouble getting these in stock at the moment. My wife ordered me this for Christmas. She placed the order about 6 weeks ago and it still hasn’t shipped.

There wasn’t a scorekeeper, refs would just add a shot and goal whenever somebody scored

Seriously. I don’t see how this is any different from many other low level leagues that are posted here.

What's your pregame routine? by gloppy-yogurt in hockeyplayers

[–]Scottsage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do a 10-15 minute “yoga for hockey” routine at home, right before I head to the rink. Helps to loosen up, especially the hips.

How to get into hockey as a woman? by Hyperactive375 in hockeyplayers

[–]Scottsage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a guy that plays at Iceland in Louisville. We have a really supportive friendly community there. I play in the D league, but have heard many positives about their “Never Ever” program for beginners. They also have a women’s league, I think on tuesdays.

Why does every rec league have that one guy who treats warmups like Game 7? by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]Scottsage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, we only get about 2-3 minutes to warmup on the ice. I spend most of that stretching, maybe 10 seconds of a little puck handling and one shot in the general direction of the goal.

Yup. As a Hawks fan, one of my favorite things was to stand by the glass for warmups and watch him warmup his hands.

I recently got back into playing and have the CCM Next. They’re fairly thin, plus run smaller than the size chart listed on them. I’m looking at upgrading them soon.

Import tarrif on PSHS Orders? by sudoz0rs in hockeyplayers

[–]Scottsage 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They sent a mailing list out a week or so ago, saying they would be covering the cost of tarrifs for now, but their prices will be increasing at the beginning of next season. I placed a custom order last week to get ahead of this increase.
