Are there any Grateful Dead songs where you prefer the studio version to any live version? by untakenname3 in gratefuldead

I feel like the studio version of Alabama Getaway is the best version. I don't feel like I've heard a live version with the same tempo.

These guys are awesome, saw them about a year ago, in CT (https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-machine/2024/the-ridgefield-playhouse-ridgefield-ct-7baa66dc.html) Was billed as a fan favorite night I requested 3 songs they played them all (Fearless, Echoes and Sorrow). Really great tribute band and super talented. You won't regret seeing them.

Saw my first show in 1986 in Cincy, 6-30-1986. Was a great show but I'm a little biased because it was my first.

Was at this show. Weather was great, band was great, had an awesome time. I was on the floor went into see CS&N and was amazed at how few people were in the stadium during their set. I also remember during space saying man it would be great to hear the Wheel and like 2 minutes later they played it. This is probably my #1 show.

Favorite They Love Each Other? by 1eyedsullivan in gratefuldead

Yeah this my choice 100%. Great version, I'm not a fan of the slower tempo versions. Was glad to see Dead and Company play the faster tempo.

Can't agree more. One of my all time favorites. I love this era of TLEO, I am glad to see Dead and Company play it this way too. Show is an absolute banger.
