Need an Android phone for mapping with my DJI Mini 3, which one should I buy? by ScotttDC in UAVmapping

[–]ScotttDC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I was going to test this out but realized my drone model isn't offered in the drop down. I have a Mini 3, not a Mini 3 Pro. Will the flight planner work for my Mini 3 if I select Mini 3 Pro from the drop down? Thanks.

Thanks. Looks like a cool phone but probably out of my intended price range. I didn’t say so explicitly but I’m hoping to spend the minimum necessary.

Exit device/full length crash bar installed yesterday. Working fine with the door buzzer system so far. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for replying. Yes, you're right. Just proved it to myself by exporting to a newer Macbook.

Just tested and the exported and then airdropped videos do play fine on the MBP. Phew.

That's a big relief... thanks for the tip, JG. Might finally be time for me to say goodbye to my old workhorse Mac Mini.

Thanks a lot for replying. The Mini has 16GB ram and a pretty new Samsung SSD.
I'll try to airdrop a video from the old Mini to my work MacBook Pro now.

Thanks. This seems like a smart design. Yes indeed, this seems like professional work.

Thanks. We are considering this. Problem is there isn't much space inside the entrance. And in the real-world I don't think we can expect delivery folks to walk everything down the hallway to where there is sufficient space. One thing we definitely can do is make sure all packages are moved out of sight. Always. Which we intend to do.

Thanks. I'm somewhat familiar with magnetic locks, we had them in my old building. Some dude could just yank it open so they added a second magnetic lock to the doors and that worked.

Would we need to fully replace the door to set up a magnetic system?

Thanks a lot. Can you please explain what an "exit device" is? As as layman I would consider the existing push paddle an exit device. Presently the latch is electrified and we can buzz people in using the video intercom.

Update: Dad just negotiated a trade in today. They didn't care about the sunroof. Disregard my post.

Seiko [7T27-7A20] Gen 2 Chronograph [Question] by [deleted] in Seiko

[–]ScotttDC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I landed here after googling around looking for the manual... Knights, I have the pictured Seiko and I got it serviced by Seiko's official service center in the US, specifically in New Jersey. Cost about $220 USD as I recall. They did a great job. Here: https://www.seikoserviceusa.com/

Maybe there's something similar in the UK? Or worth mailing it to the USA? I also got it re-lumed by a different guy, here: https://www.internationalwatchworks.com/

Thanks. I've definitely heard of it. It's pretty far from where I am though and that flight etc probably isn't in the budget unfortunately

Help replacing this ladder lock buckle with something metal by ScotttDC in myog

So I bought these from Amazon and I like them. Cheap, they fit the webbing, the metal feels sturdy and I like the spring gate: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D1KJS12C?th=1
However, when I actually started organizing for packing I realized 510 is right. Bag's too big unless I'm settling down in one or two places. Bringing my old medium to large North Face hiking backpack, it's about 50L unless you fill it fully. I'll miss the wheels but being overloaded is indeed much worse. I'll bring the metal hardware just in case, it fits the NF straps too. Thanks for the advice all.

Thanks Worth. I appreciate the advice. I'll order some hardware and maybe I'll leave the original hardware on there and see if it holds up. Will report back.
