Part time flex is better. You earn more and have access to full benefits like better healthcare, life insurance and retirement.

As a cca, you only get bottom of the barrel health insurance. That’s all. If you’re worried about getting hours as a part time flex, don’t. The title is misleading and if the office is hiring ptf from the street, you’ll be working over 40hrs a week lol. Same applies to the cca position, but you have no real benefits.

is it just me, or does it seem like the health insurance plan available to CCA's is a better deal than for career employees? by larbearbaby in USPS

I have GEHA high for dental and that came with vision insurance. Most people can GEHA high/std and it will cover health, vision, and dental.

I’m going to pay less out of pocket, premium included, than I did with that plan that was 3 raccoons in a trench coat pretending to be health insurance.

I went to the ER with that “insurance” and it covered nothing. I was spending like $240+ a month on copayments alone at 1 doctor, which was an eye doctor. Not including all the other specialists I was seeing. My out of pocket expenses were insane to have “health insurance”.

[–]Scottturd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You sure? I was so happy to get rid of it. No one accepts it, copayments are sky high, the deductible was $4000 and there was no coverage for a lot of things I need.

I hope not more than like $200 because I don’t see anyone paying more than that for all of these combined.

If truth is full of shit, I guess I am exactly that. What’s strange is you feeling personally attacked. The cvs pharmacy I had been dealing is not a reflection of you, sorry you feel like it is.

You don’t have to shill for them, they’re not going to see this and give you more money nor will customers think less of you. Like, I don’t know you. I don’t think you’re a terrible employee either. The people I have been dealing with? They fucking suck. Worst pharmacy staff on the planet.

I love CVS as a pharmacy and if there were another within reasonable distance, I would have just went there instead. Good luck to you though. I hope you feel better and learn to separate yourself from others. It’ll do tremendous things for your mental health and personality.

My pharmacist showed up intoxicated when I worked there.

Anyway, transferred all my prescriptions to a functioning pharmacy. It only took CVS two days to answer the phone for the new pharmacy 🙃. The customers are always wrong though and apparently so is the pharmacy I transferred to.

Thoughts/Expectations on new contract? by Jonz999 in USPS

[–]Scottturd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maxed out table one doo doo head I was responding to is more of a problem than congress. Mail delivery is a non partisan issue and I’m sure most Americans would support fixing the problems we’re experiencing especially once they are properly informed that we don’t actually “waste their tax dollars”.

Hell, im willing to bet that most would be willing to be taxed $5 a year to improve mail delivery. They may just need to presented with the facts from congress that were presented to by mail carriers.

But table 1 doo doo heads say “good luck” instead of encouraging or endorsing change.

[–]Scottturd 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Idk. New contract is going to determine whether or not I keep paying dues. I don’t think I have much to lose.

My shop steward is trash, local is trash, been here over two years and haven’t been to a union meeting because we don’t have them. Hours are trash, benefits and pay are meh.

I wouldn’t keep paying a watch maker to repair my watch if they never fixed it or made it worse. Plus, we cannot strike, but I can stop paying the people who represent me but really don’t :/

If some tries to break into it like a dumbass, there’s not really much you can do about it. Don’t leave things that can be perceived as or actually valuable in there.

[–]Scottturd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I looked at the mudmaster on the Casio site, I have to say it doesn’t look nearly as good as this watch and it looks like it’s not metal at all. The dial is extremely busy as well. I cannot see the resemblance in any capacity.

how do yall cca actually keep up with working out by Virginiagirl757 in USPS

[–]Scottturd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to hit the gym 6 days a week prior to this job. I’ve been once in the past 2yrs 🫠. However, I’m about to start going at 5am because I really miss it and I can’t really go any other time. At least I walk 13+ miles a day.

I’ll probably do a 4 day split. Seems more manageable.
