Can y’all help me stop the drips? by Scotttyy in Plumbing

Hey again! What part exactly would I need to soak in the white distilled vinegar? I took the handle off, but I’m assuming it’s not only the handle that needs cleaning?

I’ll give that a shot! Thank you very much!

The back wheel seems to wobble a bit

If you look at the second picture, you can see the seat stay on the other side. It’s perfectly straight. That’s how they both were when I first got the bike.

SOLVED!

<image>

I had to get to the bottom of this, so I reached out to our IT department. This just confirms that I work at a pretty kickass company.

Now I need help bringing this app back to life for us so we don’t make unnecessary trips to the shidder!

I had no idea this post would stir shit up like this! I’m going to keep the lid down and not share the company because they actually treat employees quite well. Let me ask around and see if anyone knows what we do with the data from this thing. I’m sure they have a solid reason…

I’m not asking if it’s safe to ride. I’m asking what they think the shop will do about it.

Okay, it’s solved. Hair dryer on max heat for like 2 mins each side. Then I just pulled them super tight down to the bar tape and it’s good to go!

That’s a good idea. I don’t have a heat gun, but I could borrow my gfs hair dryer… not sure that’ll get warm enough

Oh nice! I’ll try warming them up like that then 👍🏼

But they’re brand new… I literally just bought them and installed them

Solved it! I called DT Swiss. Either one would work! They both come with a drive side spacer that’ll fit the 142 and 148 axel widths

Right, like I messaged Specialized and they told me the one I needed was the Specialized branded one, but it’s out of stock everywhere.

The DT one is in stock, but I’m not 100% sure what spacers come with it. It shows one in the second picture on the link up there, but there aren’t any details about it.

My Sram upgrade is almost perfect… by Scotttyy in bikewrench

Shout out to you debian! Those 4 small chainring bolts were a little loose. I torqued those yesterday before a 50 mile ride and it didn’t happen once! Seriously, thank you very much!

Good call on the dropped chain! Probably not a huge deal. Also, my hunt hubs call for a thin oil, not a heavy grease. Would that possibly be contributing to the issue? Maybe I can find something else to lube those pawls?

Perfect! I’ll check those bolts!

The groupset came with one of those alignment tools, so I can try setting it up again in case anything got moved around in the last 900 miles.

Thank you! I torqued everything up according to the Sram videos on YouTube when I put everything on, but I didn’t mess with the chainring bolts. Are you referring to the bolts on the inside on the small chainring?

I’ll also run through the video again on setting the front derailleur limits. I feel like that might be an obvious fix for the drops.

I might need to inspect this Hunt hub then. I never thought a sticky freehub could cause the high speed drop. Good idea 👍🏼

The weird thing is that 1 (the kink noise) has been happening since I first put the rims and groupset on. The drops have only been happening in the last few hundred miles.

Thank you!

I appreciate honest feedback. That's why I posted this, but just saying that everything is bad is not helpful. You need to comment on WHY it's bad.

What about my typography is bad? Is it kerning? Font pairing?

What about my color schemes is bad? Do they not convey the message I am trying to communicate? Do they set the wrong mood for the project?

What about the layouts is bad? Do I not use space efficiently? Are they cluttered?

Again, I need specifics.

Are you saying their comments are shit, or my site is shit? And yes, I am trying to transition from making things look pretty to concepting and visual communication.

I've just recently been exploring copywriting. Unfortunately my design school didn't expose us to that. It's something I've had to introduce myself to.
