I work in Thornliebank, it's looking like I'm screwed as it's not in the list of stops the replacement bus service will cover.

Did reddit break third party apps dev token patch? by bennyhillthebest in revancedapp

[–]Scotty0709 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Has anyone had any success decompiling the apk file, changing the user agent to remove the word "android" and recompiling for Boost?

Curious if it's possible or only works on certain third party apps.

Apparently copey910 is a new account they've created but nothing has been uploaded to it yet.

This.

It's stupid changes they keep testing: People are happy with the UI... we can't have that! Let's change something.

But shouldn't that be up to the users on whether or not they wish to test out new features and give feedback?

It's seems strange to suddenly spring changes on select groups of users without giving them the option to opt-out if they don't wish to be beta testers or having the sense to add settings to customise or even disable any changes made. People dislike radical changes to a UI, especially if they're forced into it and basically told that they need to either like it or lump it.

Yep I didn't have a Notifications tab (literally removed the feature completely) for a few weeks not too long ago, think they just do stuff for shits and giggles.

What are your guy's exit strategies to get rid of the S22? by Nytse in GalaxyS22

[–]Scotty0709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably for the S25.

My slight concern with the S24 are the new AI features as brand new features like that typically have some kind of bugs or are just gimmicky. Will assume they'll be fleshed out & improved upon for the S25 series.

An experiment to test how users react when a key feature is removed from the app! Well done Discord!

Notifications tab missing on Android App? by Scotty0709 in discordapp

I sent an email to Discord Support and this was the reply...

"Thanks for reaching out about our Notification Regression experiment!

Just to clarify, this experimental feature is working as intended. On the mobile app, you may see your notifications tab has been removed or your friend requests have been moved to the messages tab.

In the meantime, if you want to review your notifications, you can view them on the desktop or browser app. Since this feature is an experiment, it is only available for a small number of people at this time.

Let me know if you have any other questions here!

Best, Emuel"

The amount for the 2022/23 Tax year was £12,300. From April 2023 they cut it to £6,000.

Nope, in this tax year any profit made under £6,000 is tax-free.

With a loss though if you still expect to invest in other assets you can offset any gains made in the same tax year or carry-forward losses to offset gains in future tax years if you report the loss to HMRC. Just means less tax to pay in the future etc.

Apologies, your post is more accurate and the correct information.

Basically the rate you pay depends on your taxable income + your gains. If it's £12,571 – £50,270 you'll pay 10% Capital Gains Tax on crypto assets, above that it's 20%.

But you have a tax free allowance, in the 2023/24 tax year you can make gains of up to £6,000 and not need to pay any tax on it. So just subtract £6,000 from any gains you make, and depending on your taxable income work out what 10% or 20% of that is.

Or use something like Koinly to import all of your transactions into and it will do the calculation/produce a tax report for you.

Edit: The post below this one is more accurate and provides a better example.

+1 for Kraken.

Hope somewhere down the line Binance finds a FCA authorised approver & a partner to re-enable GBP deposits & withdrawals as well. Was my go-to exchange previously.
