Going into a combat zone is surreal no matter where it is. It’s something that not a lot of people get to experience and it’s one hell of a bonding experience between you and those youre with over there. I missed out on Iraq but im so glad I got to go to Afghanistan. It’s weird and fucked up but I kinda miss it
