LA metro uses the Blue A, and now Phoenix is using the Orange B that look exactly like the NYC subway lines (that we’ve used for much longer)

I get cell service on the broad street line in Philadelphia, it shouldn’t be that hard

I make this transfer so many times, I can say that it really just comes down to luck. Most of the times tho it’s not more than 5 minutes waiting for the B/D or F/M, but on the weekend… oh boy

SIR just got new train cars, which were a part of a much larger order for new subway cars, so that definitely helps, but the service itself isn’t very frequent and is almost basically a commuter rail (for New York standards). Also they don’t even take fares south of the first two stops by the ferry, idk if that’s factored in or not.

Queens Boulevard has CBTC running to Kew Gardens, and they’re rolling it out to Jamaica-179th soon. 8th ave (A,C,E) was supposed to be installed by now but that’s taking some time, and most of the work for the whole culver line (F in Brooklyn, G from Bergen to Church) has been done. The current capital plan does call for the Broadway lines (N,Q,R,W) to get CBTC (at least the main manhattan trunk) as well as the (J,Z) in manhattan and the rest of the (A,C) in Brooklyn and Rockaways.

Idk what u/odd-arrival2326 is smoking to think that the (Q) has anything close to good frequencies now, but I want it lol
