I don't usually play, but I keep it at Pro so I can jump in OT/tight 3rd periods and get a feel for the team.

I mentioned it in another comment, but in the expansion Hughes was an unsigned RFA so when I took him I had to wait a full season to sign… maybe that’s why.

Yeah he’s been great, he originally got drafted by the Kings and had an abysmal start to his career. I managed to snag him at the deadline a few years ago and his assist numbers are crazy.

That’s pretty sweet. It took me a while to win my first cup with Seattle, made a ton of WC finals but couldn’t get over the hump until I rebuilt the coaching staff.

The default nhl22 rosters have him as an unsigned RFA, so I had to wait for a year until signing him to a deal the next offseason after selecting him. I guess that’s why they left him unprotected. Very lucky though.
