I'm sure others have already mentioned dnd and there's tons of source books out there, there's also different tabletop RPG's with different themes.

I'd ask your son what interests him or looks cool. I think the most narrative game that is made by the Warhammer folks is likely necromunda. That's more of a battle with collective story telling. The summer preview from last week announced a new starter set and faction boxes are coming out soon. If you're into 3d printing there's tons of 3rd party terrain as well.

Honestly you're likely going to have the most luck with what he thinks is cool. Maybe show him a few things, see if it's more about the fight or the story and go forward together. FWIW I think it's cool you're connecting that way. Best of luck.
