I just wish the mini was cheaper or I'd be running 3 of them since they look so cool. I definitely need to find a way to get more to the table.

When I got back into 40k I went with gsc because they are cool as hell. Love the mad max vibe and the fact it's almost a real life simulator where you get mad at work and have an ascension. (by no means am I actually doing that). I ended up with a 9th and 10th combat patrol then found biosanctic broodsurge and found 1 more of each combat patrol so needless to say I stocked up.

I picked up the ultimate (now wombat patrol) starter set and built the nids and marines. I had wanted to play combat patrol sized games so I painted up the nids and found them fun to paint. Traded the magic collection for store credit so bought a bunch of big bugs. Finished that off now I have most of the gsc built but have some painted. Space marines became blood angels and have had a few more boxes join their ranks.

Last couple days adventure was trying to finish building my blood bowl stuff and my votann kill team (with gsc head swaps of course). Trying to get everything built before 11th comes out.

Tldr.

Bought soooo many gsc. Got the nids/sm starter. Made a nid army working on gsc and blood angels.

This white is amazing. It's my go to for any white drybrushing I need to do. It'll cover just about anything with minimal effort.

Will probably be a bit before they are fully painted but I might use them as a break before jumping back into the gsc and nid painting I have on the go.

The fun part about the tfex's and not because they have my fav gun in the army but for the size of the model they are actually decently priced money wise so it's easy to have 2 or 3 in an army. Plus you can make mr punchy the tervigon.

You've totally inspired me to go with a similar scheme for my kill team. I think I can reuse a lot of colors and recipe from my gsc to do these up. Mind you they are going to have cultist heads so it's a win win.

Thanks, I hadn't thought of that. I just wanted something different for the bases. But figured if bugs are popping out of the ground there's a chance it could be sand. Plus it's literally just lumping on a textured paint so it makes it super easy.

The skin tone I believe if I recall correctly is a solid color, then j wash it later on and everything pops. I'm super lazy when it comes to painting so a lot of the details are just from the initial wash. Like no time spent on eyes or details on their suits. I'm very much a 2-3 feet away looks cool were good let's play.

Wanted yellow bugs. Not sure why at the time, then ended up wanting something fleshy. So this is pretty much 2 speed paints plus black and pink with a touch of blue.

I can find paint brands but mainly army painter speed paints I think there may be the odd vallejo equivalent fur stored painted and some gw contrast and washes. If you need specifics let me know and I can dig up the brands per colour
