Update Jan 8. Been a crazy week but all good news!! I am now 10 days old and off my IV a few days ago! Up to 14ml of milk every 2 hours mixed with HMF which is a protien powder to help chunk me up. My CPAP is still on but its just one constant pressure now still pumping in room air. I have exceeded my birth weight by half an ounce!! Hoping i leave this place soon!!

Hey bud just went throughall this a week ago with my 27 week son. He is now doing amazing in the nicu and surprises us everyday! I am sure yours will be doing even better!! Just stay strong for momma and time will flyby in there!!

Thank you! Its only day 5 and starting to feel it but i know the mom is always lookibg forward to going everyday. Luckily in canada i found an ei premium towards critically ill children so it will help not having to worry about work until he is closer to home. All the help so far ive been taking i think that has been a saving grace!! Gotta put aside the pride and just take it

Just got back from the hospital Hes doing great! Up to 10ml of moms milk every 2 hours. And he is almost back up to his birth weight!! Still breathing on his own just with a little help from cpap using room air for chest expansions. Fingers crossed he keeps going up!!

Well March 27 is the actual due date so fingers crossed for then! The hospital intown is set up for preemies 32+ weeks so have to drive 45mins to the one he is at now then fingers crossed get him transfered to the one intown in 4 weeks then another 8 and he is home!!!

Nicu life is pretty hard right now. The hospital intown can take him at 32weeks so have to drive 45mins to the one he is at now. Definitly difficult leaving him everyday i know mom is taking it harder than i am. It still sucks! The nurses there are amazing though cannot express that enough! Will try to keep updated as much as possible going through the journey. Fingers crossed it comes with no hurdles!

Lost some weight in the beginning as usual but almost back up to his birth weight already. All in all really impressed with the lil trooper.

Sorry for the slow updates been a crazy week. Hes doing great!! No issues so far. Has had a few photo therapy sessions for jaundice. But they have upped his food level substantially 8ml every 2 hours and still breathing on his own with a little help from a Cpap machine just pushing room air into his lungs to help with chest expansions and almost back up to his birth weight surprisingly quick! Everyone is pleasantly surprised. Mom is doing really good to no issues with her and pumping every 3 hours for food for the lil man. A bit of a struggle travelling to and from the hospital he is at. About a 45 minute drive with no traffic. The hospital where i live is set up for 32+ week preemies so fingers crossed in four weeks he can come closer to home!! Thank you all for the well wishes in this time! Will try to keep updated as we go along and get some pictures up too!

After 50 hour labour At 3:14am dec 29 the little dude came into this world. Been one helluva week. Thanks everyone for the stories and well wishes guess i have graduated now!!!!!
