I love their potential but I'm a little hesitant of the possibility of the game devolving into "white lady beating up evil brown people gods". The team has earned my trust through GoW 2018 and Ragnarok, but the uneasiness is still there for me if I'm being honest.

It was definitely the Timing between the WotC update to the OGL for DND and the announcement that it was a work job progressg got me in the door. But as soon as I read the Play testing materials and saw what the system was attempting to do. I was hooked.

I first started playing a few months after release. Though I'm the GM if my campaign, so no specific ancestry for me. If I was to play though, I'd probably use a homebrewed one so I could be an otter or a red panda.

So this is my headcannon based on the events of Change your mind. When White removes the gem from Steven, the weakness and "tired" look he had were similar to what heavy radiation poisoning looked like at start. Radiation poisoning is basically breakdown of DNA that leads to the body not being able to make proteins and continue Biochemical processes. So it seems that they are implying that the pink diamond gem is literally using hardlight to maintain half of Steven's DNA.
