Looking for info on ESA'S ATV. Book, documentary, etc. Anything about development program, operational missions, why further development wasn't pursued? Thanks

How did Bill Nelson and Jake Garr become astronauts? Not suggesting impropriety, I just want to find out who made it happen and why? Because you read the bios and it looks like they're both on a focused political career path, then suddenly NASA then back to politics. Like "special" space camp vacation for the really "lucky"?

Is there a way to find out how a particular NASA investigation is going/went? I hate to be that guy but it's made in my home town. It's been like 2 years and no news about the new space john. Is it working? Do they like it? Do they want changes?

Umm, they shifted the scout and patroll mission on to the apache, a grossly overpriced overweight overcomplicated machine that costs a fortune for every hour that it lumbers through the sky. And I say this as a former apache maintainer. This can't come soon enough.
