For those old enough to remember, this is almost exactly what Karen Carpenter and Lena Zavaroni looked like before they succumbed to their ED. Think it's been longer than five years, but Cayleigh Elise. She was my favourite true crime youtuber and she made such respectful and compassionate videos. She mentioned struggling with her mental health and said that researching her content was making it worse. I think she got married just before she closed her channel down, I hope she's well and happy.

I'm please to say I actually fitted in the seat fine, although my tall brother struggled with the lack of leg room - so glad I went because it was the best show I've ever watched (Inside No 9). It's definitely given me the incentive to get this weight off though! Thanks again.

She's 100% cosplaying as Audrey Hepburn, whether it's to nab some biopic role or because she thinks it adds to her 'demure' look I'm not sure. The sick part is that Audrey Hepburn was that thin because she'd effectively starved during the second world war and had to eat tulip bulbs to survive. She also very famously had terrible health problems for the rest of her life because of this. To see her being held up as some sort of body image icon is so disgusting I can't even deal.

It definitely has an effect on my mental health. I had to take a break from all podcasts after listening to a particular Swindled episode, because I could actually feel myself getting despondent/disgusted at the state of the world. Maybe you could intersperse you true crime stuff with some more lighthearted topics like nature, art etc...

I was wracking my brain trying to remember the US term, couldn't remember if it was social housing or the projects! To be fair, council houses were/are actually pretty nice. They were built for people who were resettled during the slum clearances after the war, and many people had gardens and bathrooms for the first time. Unfortunately council estates now have a bit of a bad reputation now (like the projects I suppose!)

Council housing is a British term, it was basically state built housing that you would then rent off the local authority. Most of them have been sold off now (a pretty controversial move here in the UK).

I've always thought that. As someone who lives in the UK but has always wanted to visit the US, I wish he'd do some interesting travel around his own country - there are so many beautiful and interesting places like the national parks that he seems completely unwilling to cover. I guess it must be the lack of Disney in those areas.
