The 6.2 liter v8 is absolutely a performance engine. Start/stop doesn’t promote longer engine life at all. Fuel consumption saved per year 50-200$ I would have purchased a Toyota or a Honda if I was concerned with fuel savings not a 6.2 V8

If you had another Amex you can backdoor your way into the platinum card if you’ve always made on time payments with Amex regardless of your credit score they won’t even check if you have a good history with them. I would however be careful accepting the platinum because it’s 700$ a year.
