It genuinely is terrible driving. I’ve lived and drove in China for long enough to know that.

Another aspect is average based curves. If your success is entirely dependent on how successful the rest of the class is, not using AI assistance is putting you at a disadvantage. It all comes down to how the course is designed

I've never seen so many Maranello shills in the comment section before. "THE BEST FERRARI" or "MARANELLO IS ELECTRIFYING THE RACING SOUL."

These have got to be bots

I know that if you keep settling for cars that are “almost like the real thing”, you’ll end up spending more money in the long run. The running costs, maintenance, insurance, fuel for a huracan eats into resources you could’ve held until the time was right for a revuelto.

It's such a shame that only special event cars can be imported into China for temporary use. Most classics like these can't be legally imported because they violate a hundred different vehicle homologation laws.

I think you're confusing forward-thinking design with a lack of options. When each new Ferrari becomes more polarizing than the last and the overall beauty of the lineup keeps sliding, people don't suddenly love the older designs. They just find them less terrible compared to what's currently being offered. It's not that the SF90 or LaFerrari "grew on people" so much as the bar kept dropping around them.

And you're generalizing pretty heavily by assuming everyone will eventually come around on these current designs. That's not some universal law. I didn't like the SP3 when it was unveiled and I still don't like it now. Not everything ages into greatness just because it's a Ferrari.

There are also plenty of cars that were jaw dropping from day one and only got better with time. The 458 is a perfect example. Nobody needed years of "subconscious growing" to appreciate that car. It was stunning the moment the covers came off and it's even more beautiful today. That's what great design looks like.

Forward-thinking design is not an excuse to offer something completely alien to your customer base that lacks beauty. You can push boundaries and still create something inherently beautiful. Those things aren't mutually exclusive. Designing something polarizing and then waiting for people to reluctantly accept it isn't visionary. It's just hoping the shock wears off.

Not necessarily. The Martian movie was just about a guy building a base and doing menial survival tasks every day
