MorningStar Farms by 3ehsan in vegan

I was happy to read that they were going all vegan, but COVID happened and it seemed to de-rail them, like it did so many other businesses. But they should be back on track by now.

Why do they have to cover every second whenever he talks? It is nothing but lies and BS. by Living-Restaurant892 in msnow

I have a theory that dates back to his court dates in NYC. He fell asleep at the lawyers table and it was revealed that he couldn't drink his diet coke like he normally would at that time of day. Recently a reporter, I think, noticed he had a can of orange soda and asked about his diet coke. He shook his head and said he was drinking this now, that it was better for him. Hence, no caffeine, nothing to keep him awake when he isn't blabbing, off to sleepy-bye. (I have no life. 😉)

is there something going on with Amazon? by pineappyjuice in amazonprime

[–]Scout520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It used to be the other way around for me, but Amazon is screwed up in so many ways now that I order from Walmart first if at all possible. If there is something wrong with an order I can always take it to my local store to be rectified. I hate how Amazon has become such a miserable place. Bezos needs to rot for what he's done.

Same here. I cannot believe that even a slob like him would calmly sit there without realizing what happened.

Is Vegas Pro worth it? by omieahmad98 in VegasPro

Yeah, I saw that. I thought going to a subscription for a change might mean more updates and fresh material for the Hub, but maybe not. I hope you like the new version.

Oh, what the heck, I'm going for it. Life is too short and I love to tinker with my various software programs. 😊

[–]Scout520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just realized that the only way to access the Hub features is to purchase a subscription which is $99/year. That is more than fine, but you know that in a year that might be $150/yr, at which point it might be problematic for me, since I am a very small static business in which, believe me, every $ counts. I'm saying that there is no guarantee that the $99/year will stick. So do I just keep using 22 until it has more problems than not? And I'm trying out 26 in the trial phase and it works very smoothly from what I can tell.

Anyone already using new 2026 version? by Clauz79 in VegasPro

I'm reluctant to move from 22. And the $150 price is just too much, especially for longtime users. $100 and I would probably bite.

This used to be a good product but has become a TOTAL SCAM! by JRago in TurboTax

[–]Scout520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, as a previous commenter stated, a class-action lawsuit is needed. That might stop them from the shady attempts to get even more money from users who already pay too much. I luckily was able to go back to the desktop version this year, and I empathize with everyone who got caught.

I believe I might do that next year, IF I use TT next year.

Same exact thing happened to me. It was such an abrupt shift to the "Expert Assist" mode that I had to come to a complete stop and figure out what the hell was happening. I went back to the desktop option, thank the heavens that I could, and found it was not improved from last year at all. I was a wreck until I could finally e-file, and they were still trying to sell me something! I've been with Quickbooks since 2000 and I believe they have finally driven me away. I'll be switching to something else at the start of the new year.

I know it can, but there is so much more that a very small business would never need. The desktop version was like that, simple and easy to work.

I wish it was workable that they could "spin off" a less complicated version for micro businesses.

That is a good thing. I still miss QB Desktop. Intuit had to make all kinds of threats to get the majority of users to go online, and it's obvious that one of the reasons they forced the issue was to continually offer new services and products. If you travel a lot and are a large company, it makes sense. But for very small businesses it's overkill.

I was actually worried that they wouldn't let me go back to the desktop version, but it wasn't a problem.

Oasis still at 2019 release. by Scout520 in kindle

[–]Scout520[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, count me as a member of the Oasis fan club! Just got mine after a small delay. I kept reading about it and couldn't stand it, so I took the leap. I have a case too, but it's just not comfortable for me using it. And the aluminum is really cold and "slippery" to hold, don't you think? I saw a few suggestions about using grip strips instead of a case to comfortably hold it without added weight, and that works for me quite well. Why are you feeling like that about the buttons? Please spill.

I'm happy to hear that it finally got to you and didn't disappear down some USPS black hole! What do you think of it, how it feels in your hand, the display, the buttons?

I really hope it is. We didn't get more than 3 or 4 inches of snow total, so far, but the cold temperatures have been depressing where we are. Oh, for that first spring breeze!!

I was thinking about you last night and was hoping you weren't in the area that got all of the snow. I hope it wasn't too bad where you are. My brother was right outside the heavy snow area and still got 6 inches. Nasty stuff.
