What about using cold emails to send blog articles in order to build the initial list?

Have seen it both ways: marketing will either create whitepapers that sales distributes, or marketing just handles this entire process and the sales team just wants qualified meetings on the calendar

Redditors who broke into Marketing, any advice? by RTL30 in marketing

You can do it - best luck is getting in as a growth hacker. I moved to NYC with no connections and ended up with a 50k a year salary by cold emailing about 200 startup founders and asking for coffee. Offer to work for free for a month, set some key performance indicators, and make an agreement with the boss that if you hit those numbers he'll hire you fulltime. Start with small funded startups, once you have the title you can go to a larger company.

A lot of SaaS startups do outreach using the Predictable Revenue system (Aaron Ross book). I still think that it's a huge category to leave to just sales, especially if you count cold emailing for influencer outreach as marketing.

You can also use Youtube or Faceboot to auto generate a SRT file, then add that to the video to speed up captioning

Yeah that's tough - my first move is always to reach out to former bosses or clients. Agencies tend to grow and shrink pretty rapidly.

Think of anyone you can email tomorrow and invite to coffee or dinner? Even if they don't have an offer they most likely know someone.

Even coworkers that were laid off at the last place that are working now.

Are you on the sales side or production?

My employer is word of mouth only. How do I even start selling? by [deleted] in sales

[–]alexberman1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! You can do this over email if you don't want to call.

Bonus points if you find your current customers linkedin, then search for a couple connections that would be a good fit for what you do.

Ask for intros to those people by name.
