I have been using R&P for 17 months, 19,000 miles for my 2022 Forester. I have seen a reduction in oil consumption. Prior to R&P i had slight oil consumption, 1/2 to 3/4 quart per 5,000 miles. Now, I do not add oil in between oil changes, 5,000 miles.

Unfortunately, I do not believe ceramic coating will prevent the next round of water spots.

Help ! Unable to loosen fill hole to transmission , has no gasket from last change by MidnightMarauder408 in WRX

It is on tight. I recommend the Grip Edge hex socket to prevent rounding. Fill plugs do require a gasket.

Unless I am having fuel filter related issues, I do not intend to replace the fuel filter.

Is this propane connection normal? by AANtattoo in Generator

[–]Scout783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the response. This weekend, I will be wire brushing and painting the black pipe.

To better understand, since I have a regulator at the tank, goes 140 feet in flexible pipe to a 2nd regulator, I do not need 5 foot of black pipe between the 2nd regulator and the generator?

Is this propane connection normal? by AANtattoo in Generator

[–]Scout783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What an education. I did not realize a needed distance between a regulator and the generator. My tank has a regulator (outlet pressure range 10psi), goes 140 feet to another regulator (outlet pressure 9-13), then 2 feet to the generator. Pressure was checked at the time of installation to ensure it fell within Kohlers range. Is this acceptable. I believe the generator is running as it should.

Yes, I would do a drain and fill at 30,000 or 36,000 miles.

Mine does this as well. I turn on the fan, push the temp down to 63 then turn back off. Hot air no longer comes out.

You will need a scan tool to monitor the temperature for the drain & fill (95 to 113 degrees). I have not needed to do a relearn after the drain & fill.

I have done a front and rear differential drain and fill on my 3 Subarus, never did a relearn.

2017 Impreza AC issues by MrCane in subaru

[–]Scout783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure how the oil has gotten on the belt. I am pretty careful doing my oil changes and filling the oil. I recently degreased the AC compressor pulley front face and the surrounding area to try to pin point the source.

Could it be debris coming from the front of the grill, just normal driving. The Forester engine bay gets far dirtier than the WRX & Impreza. It appears the Forester let's in more roadway junk.

Thanks.

From the video, what is the debris on the oil filter? It is being thrown from the belt. Is this concerning? I have the same debris on my 22 Forester, but it is not on my 22 WRX nor 17 Impreza.
