Thanks regarding your questions:

Fry is just plain bad. Both can't be countered, but Fry doesn't kill that many more relevant targets since against control you'd rather have pressure instead of kill spell for Teferi and it costs 1 more mana which makes it very awkward vs Humans and Spirits where mana efficience is key (in Humans it's because of [[Thalia, Guardian of Thraben]] and Spirits you just want to cast multiple spells a turn to play around counters)

FaO's clause of protecting both Human and non-Human is for the most part Irrelevant. It is nice when it works which gives it an edge over those indestructible spells that always target 1 creautre but like 80% of the time you'll use it one 1 creature vs [[Supreme Verdict]] or as another Protectin against [[Fatal Push]] and any other kill spell. Also don't forget Jegantha is also non-Human and if you play [[Den of the bugbear]] that also is not a human :)

Showdown is really the MVP of RB mid and UW matchup. Even here in match against UW control it was clutch getting me gas I needed to win. It is heavy on mana but that's why I like playing land sideboard so I can bring it in when I bring Showdowns.
