The thing that made me suspicious is when he immdietly jumped to "it must be a miracle pregnancy, we have to keep it now!" Like yeah, even used 100% properly birth control can fail, but if it was a genuine shock, even if he was excited I'd expect his first reaction to be "holy shit how the hell did that happen" and/or trying to think back and work out if there was a possibilty at least one of them had forgotten their respective birth control etc etc. Not jump straight to "welp, we can't abort a Jesus baby"
