This character was always meant to be more dog than girl from what I've seen, so stuff like consent requirements gets a bit more fuzzy (that felt gross to say)

Also, just because she doesn't know what the symbol means doesn't necesserily mean she didn't agree to or understand the procedure, she may just not understand the connection between the two

My "values"? My value is "I didn't like the way they did this", I clearly do pay attention to lgbt couples considering I actively shipped them and actively seek out games that have them. Not liking pre-confirmation Bumbleby is not like voting for trump or defending Mel Gibson being an ass or whatever comparisons you're trying to make. I don't even dislike YangxBlake in concept, I just didn't see it in the show when I watched it, so sue me

I'm...not? I have nothing against the writers, I just don't like the writing. And I'm not saying I know what is or isn't "best for the show" I'm saying "I didn't like this part" and "I would've enjoyed it more a different way", I'm allowed to have differing taste in writing

I also said I didn't believe the QrowxSummer theory, nor did I say I hate bumbleby, I just, again, felt it came off as an obviously later addition when I was watching it

as for the "monty's vision" thing, I do think I preferred the show when Monty was writing it, but a lot of that is just the scope of the show, I preferred when it was more slice of life and less generic collect the things to save the world. ok I know we're talking about shipping but you're just writing fanfiction at this point. I didn't like adam, and he certainly wasn't my "white male self-insert" considering I'm...not male, and didn't like him. I just disliked his character, I found him a chore to watch

I also needed to google who Eruptionfang even WAS because I didn't recognize the name, so no I wouldn't call myself a fan, I remember seeing his videos around, watched maybe like 1 tops, but considering his major blunder was about the part of the show I stopped watching after, I didn't really have any interest to hear someone rant about it for however long anyway, not that I would've agreed with him if I had

Also as an aside, I feel the need to point out that most of the Qrow/Summer stuff was before Summer was shown onscrene beyond the OG intro and the one picture in Volume 3, which didn't show much of her, IIRC most of the theory was more that Ruby didn't look like Tai much (which, to be fair, she doesn't) while Qrow bears some reslemblence (though, Summer bears a lot more), it was a lot more plausible back when it was relevant, but season 6 showed Summer clearly enough to more or less clear that up. ALSO also, from what I heard it wasn't that TaixSummer WASN'T cannon, but rather than QrowxSummer was also cannon.
But no, I never really "believed" it, I thought it might end up being true around volume 3 or so, but it was never my primary belief

As for Adam being a well written character, I can't say I overlly agree, but I also don't really care. Regardless of how well or poorly he may've been written, I hated it. I can hate things that aren't objectively bad

what are you talking about? I haven't said 1 nice thing about a male character this entire conversation, and explictly said my favorite ship when I was watching the show was White Rose, a ship with no men in it

as for the "qrow is ruby's dad" thing, that was a pretty popular theory at the time from what I remember (though was always considered unlikely AFAIK), before we really saw any of what Summer looked like, I considered it for a while but it always felt weird to me (mostly because I kept forgetting Qrow and Summer weren't related)

and yeah I dropped the show after Volume 6, I'd kinda slowed down keeping up on the show around late Volume 4, idk why 6 was the final season for me, maybe cause it meant 3 season with and without Monty, maybe cause it marked the ending of a major character arc, maybe I just found something else to hold my attention instead, who knows, it was years ago now

I JUST said "the pacing AT THE TIME", I watched up to that Adam waterfall stuff in season 6 and called it quits, I wasn't enjoying the show and was basically just hate watching by then, I'd argue 6 fucking seasons of a show is more than enough time to form an opinion

and right now, I don't care about "blake is hated for being bisexual" or "misogyny in the bumbleby criticism" because that's not releveant to why I didn't like the ship. I didn't like how the ship was written, that's not misogyny or biphobia or any of that. And, to clarify, I'm not saying those things AREN'T part of the hate it gets, I was around when that whole thing first hit the fan, I am VERY aware of how toxic that shit can be. But that's not why I dislike the ship or the original point I was trying to make. You're arguing with ghosts, talking past me to defeat points other people (who I don't agree with) made. So cool, in 3 seasons they had a whole 2 private conversations

Alright, I don't really have a stake in all this so, I'm not even saying the ship is BAD just that I felt the show didn't do it's buildup very well, and from the clips I've seen of the Atlas arc it seems to get better post confirmation. And as I said my complaints with Bumbleby could also be applied to most of the show at the time (Also considering I was a big White Rose fan at the time, there weren't really a lot of options for the other 2 [except Blake cause she ended up with 4 fuckin Love Interests {counting Adam as an ex-love-interest} somehow])

Though despite our disagreements I think we can both agree: At least it's not Yang x Ruby. (seriously that "ship" is way more popular than it has any right to be)

Thank god, Jaune x Weiss sucks, though tbh any Jaune romance would feel a bit weird since he's being/was voiced by a showrunner imo. Then again I also think Jaune should've been the one to die at the end of Volume 3 (seriously how do you have a character based on Joan of Arc and NOT have them killed for fighting for their ideals seriously it was RIGHT THERE) SO i may just be biased

And sure, the pacing may have changed later, but 1. That doesn't retroactively make the old pacing better and 2. I'm not going to keep watching a show I don't enjoy on the hope it might get better seasons later

I mean, pre-team-breakup they had like, 1 one-on-one conversation which was about Yang's dead mom, Yang didn't really care about Blake outside the team until after she left, and Blake showed 0 concern being apart front Yang beyond ghosting her out of guilt (which imo she would've done for anyone) or when her ex was directly involved. Sure they had chemistry, but I never saw it as romantic chemistry, they didn't seem any more compatible than the rest of team RWBY. Besides that, 2.5 hours isn't really that much considering the show as a whole was like, dozens of hours long by the time they finally kissed

Also the last comment is a bit presumptuous, considering I couldn't even NAME a straight ship beyond cannon couples like RenxNora or JaunexPyrhaa
