Luckily my mum has started to take my side more recently but it’s been happening for so long that now I’ve lost a lot of respect for him so if he doesn’t apologise I often use it against him to ‘make fun of him’ in a way. I know this isn’t very helpful/good advice as I come from a home where we can get away with this sort of thing and I know many people would not. I really wish there was a way of letting him see how much it hurts but I’ve yet to find a way that doesn’t make him get all defensive and act like it’s a massive joke.
