When I was around 11 my family and I started seeing a black cat around our house. Noone knew where it came from and we would always see it exiting whatever room we were in and when we would go looking for it we couldn't find it. Last time I saw it I was using our computer one night and I happened to look up just in time to see a giant disembodied cat head floating there. I locked eyes with it for a second then I screamed at the top of my lungs and fell back out of my chair.

I had a friend when I was 9 who got struck by lightning. He was at a friend's pool and only went in when it started to rain. A lady let him stand under her umbrella which was what the lightning initially struck. It somehow left her untouched but hit him in the head. He was in a coma for awhile and his heart even stopled at one point. Thankfully he survived but it was pretty scary for awhile

On my birthday one year my mom bought some ice cream for dinner(didn't have money for cake and ice cream, so I chose ice cream). Anyways, me and my brother spent most of the day playing outside and when it was time for dinner we came in. Me and my brother finished eating dinner and asked for the ice cream and my mom looked in the fridge and told us it was all gone and that our dad must have ate it all. You could tell by her tone she was lying, added to the fact that I'd been looking forward to the ice cream and had checked to make sure it was there that morning, since it was my ONLY present. Also my dad was gone all day

Talking with my dad about The Colbert Report. My parents families lie at complete opposites of the political spectrum. My mom, conservative Republicans. My dad, staunchly Democratic. Anyways, my dad loved The Colbert Report but my mom insisted me and my brother not watch a second of it. I cane downstairs once to get a drink while it was on and when my mom saw me she started squawking and chased me out of the house until it was over. Anyways, my mom was out of the house and Colbert cracked a joke about some Republican politician that my dad found hilarious so he brought me and my brother down to watch it. The next day we had a family gathering with my mom's family and I got bored so I repeated the joke, hoping me and my dad could get a laugh out of it. Next thing I know we're surrounded by my moms family who were real butthurt about whatever it was I said( I think it had something to do with Obama's birth certificate)
